Vehicle Detail
This truck is in great condition, all lights and sirens fully operational. Has emergency hand lights. This truck was originally used in a small town in Kentucky and was operational when I purchased it. I used it as a promotional tool at our Christmas tree lot, giving kids rides. It has power steering an air brakes, which makes it really nice to drive. On Mar-12-14 at 18:00:57 PDT, seller added the following information: We believe the engine displacement is 549, but we don't know where the engine plate is locatedOn Mar-14-14 at 18:07:18 PDT, seller added the following information: WHEEL BASE 175" OVERALL LENGTH 295" WIDTH 7'10" HEIGHT 8'6" GVW 25,000 THERE IS NO ROT ON BOTTOM OF DOORS, FLOOR OR ANYWHERE I AM AWARE OF THE ONLY MECHANICAL ISSUE IS THE STARTER IS WEAK FROM SITTING, EVERYTHING ELSE FUNCTIONS AS IT SHOULD. WE LOVE DRIVING IT IN PARADES. I JUST PUT A NEW BATTERY IN IT AND NEW BATTERY TERMINAL ENDS THIS TRUCK HAS SPENT ITS LIFE INDOORS WHILE I HAVE HAD IT AND FROM WHAT I WAS TOLD BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER HE HAD IT OUTSIDE FOR 4 YEARS AFTER HE BOUGHT IT FROM THE FIRE COMPANY, NOT TO BAD FOR OVER 50 YEAR OLD VEHICLE, AND IT SHOWS IN ITS CONDITION THANKS AND GOOD LUCK!!!!On Mar-15-14 at 17:59:48 PDT, seller added the following information: The pump system on this truck was NOT operational when I got it and I have never tried it. If you zoom in on the one pic you will see the rusty condition of the hose reels on top of truck behind the cab. My description pertains to the mechanics of the truck itself, running gear, engine, rear. Since I am not a fire fighter, I have no idea how to operate the system or the operating condition of it at this time. My guess would be it is NOT FUNCTIONAL. The tittle says 3601 pounds for what I guess is the cab and chassis, I would GUESS the body and pump would put it at 15k - 18k, less water and equipment.
