Vehicle Detail
this is a nice example of a 1925 dodge brothers sedan, apperas nothing is missing, it has had a restoration done but that was over 30 years ago, for a 89 year old car, it runs and drives very well, the body is solid and does have an older repaint with chips and scratches here and there, this car has been used and did not sit idle for too long,,,taken for occational drives and pardes and such,,engine and trans are original to the car, only modifications are the addition of an electric fuel pump for quicker starts and functional turn signals added to the front and rear, all external lighting is working good too, shifts through all gears fine, brakes and parking brake work fine too. engine has minor leaks here and there, nothing terrible just damp spots from old age,,no puddles left under it just minor seeping , should be fine just tighening up a few things, tires are in good shape, solid rims are free of any dents or cracks and have the original "DB" emblem in the center, also have the hand starter crank for you daring guys who want to try it out, i prefer using the key and starter pedal, 12 volt battery does the job fine,,,really the only mechanical issue is minor leak in the radiator,,really should be recored, the tanks on it are in good shape..it's fine for quick trips to the store .the body, interior and drivetrain were restored over 30 years ago,,the body is pretty straight, paint is just ok, does shine up ,bumpers are in good driver shape, door panels are in good shape, seats were done many years ago and are in good driver shape, 3 flat side glass on the driver side each have a single crack, these are fairly cheap to have cut at a glass shop for about $40.00 each. the front, rear and passenger side glass is all good, tilt awat wood steering wheel, good spare on the back, floors are solid and also appear to have been replaced, headliner is intact and appears to have been replaced but could use replacing again,, not torn just old and could certainly be used as is..old dodge brothers cars are getting harder to find, model "t" and model "a" are fairly easy to come by...this would be a great drivable addition to anyones garage,,,could be polished up and used as is or with a minor amount of body work on the chiped and scratched areas, could be repainted with little effort, do not recommend any long drives till the radiator is recored,,fun car to drive. i take it out now and then to the local store to grab a few things and always wind up with old car enthusiasts checking it out and a 10 minute run to the store winds up taking me an hour ...the car is located in philadelphia pa 19111,,i can deliver it IF you are in phila, i don't do distance delivery, just don't have the time, please don't bid if your not going to buy, a $500 deposit is required within 24 hours, full payment within 5 days ..don't make a deposit if your not serious as deposit is not refundable, ebay fees and paypal fees will be deducted from the deposit...deposit can be made through paypal,,full payment by bank check from a local bank chain that i can go and cash the check or check must clear before car is picked up,,,cash works even better ! feel free to come see the car,ask questions or call for immidiate answers at 267-228-9594,,,considering what cars of the 20's are going for, the reserve is fairly low,,bid to win, "the car is listed locally and i reserve the right to end the auction early or cancel any bids if the car sells before the end of the auction,,5 day auction only,,Good luck bidding ps... i have more photos and can email them to you directly, just email and i'll send additional photosOn Mar-11-14 at 12:10:42 PDT, seller added the following information: a caller asked if anything has been modified,,, please read the ad,,,, the only modifacations were the addition of an electric fuel pump, a working turn signal system and also a working electric windshield wiper motor, it is a 12 volt system,,,,,,also, the car does have the hand crank and a crate with some small extra partsOn Mar-13-14 at 10:18:39 PDT, seller added the following information: a caller today asked a few questions so i am posting the answers >>>> can i drive it home ? as the ad states, it runs and drives fine but really should have the radiator recored before driving any distance, i recommend having it trailered, uhaul rents trailers fairly cheap...the caller lives in warminster pa, i have a trailer and can deliver it there,,i will deliver local within philadelphia or immidiate suburbs but don't have the time to be driving 1 hour away, sorry......do you have a title ? yes, the car has a clear new jersey title and you will have no problem transferring it how are the tires ? that is in the ad, the tires are in good condition with lots of tread left and hold air fine.......caller wanted to know of glass suppliers, there are many around the area, i have had many flat glass windows cut for classic cars from a place just off of philmont ave just out of northeast philadelphia, they are very reasonable , about $40.00 each or so . but no matter where you are, there are glass suppliers everywhere,,,,lastly, i was asked about the reserve price, the reserve has already been met and will sell to the highest bidder, if you want the car, you need to bid higher then the last guy. that's the way an auction works.................feel free to keep the questions coming by email or call 267-228-9594On Mar-15-14 at 12:18:43 PDT, seller added the following information: PS,,,,,The auction may be ended early sunday morning due to a possible private sale, i won't know till sunday morning. If the local buyer shows up in the morning to buy the car, the auction will be cancelled early and all bids will be cancelled, the buyer has offered more then the car auction price is at now,,the only way to be positive you will get the car is to use the "buy it now option" . other wise, feel free to take your chances with the auction...again, i am not sure yet if this auction will be cancelled or not
