Selling my 1986 Coupe GT. VERY RARE Color combination. Charcoal Metallic Black with black leather. This car has a long history..Was built by Mongrel Motorsports in Pennsylvania about 10 years ago. 2.3L inline 5cyl, completely rebuilt with 43K on it. 140K on the car. Everything was done, H&R suspension with Bilstein HD, rear disk brake conversion like the 1987.5 Special Build coupe. Lower Rear sway bar added with poly bushings. This is not your average coupe. I drove this car 3000 miles home 4.5 years ago at speeds above 100mph a lot of the way. Short shifter, momo wheel and shift knob and pedals. One Piece euro Glass Headlights with daytime running lights installed and H1/H4 upgrade. 16" Team Dynamics Wheels(lightweight) with no curb rash and brand new tread. Magnaflow exhaust. Tons of torque and tons of hp. gorgeous interior, dash, etc. original paint is fading and clear is gone on top of hood. I have not seen another one this color combo for sale ever. Nor will you find one with a build sheet like this one. At 137,500 miles in june of 2013 Timing belt, water pump, tensioner roller, axillary belts, Metal head gasket, Head resurfaced and hot tanked, thermostat, radiator rebuilt, all temp sensors, O2 sensor, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor. Just in the last month I replaced the fuel pump with a new Bosch one($225), and did both outer CV boots. There is no bodywork needed. I thought about just doing a vinyl hood wrap in carbon fiber look for the time being. I lifted each corner to show all wheel wells and how clean they are. There is one split at the seam on the bottom of drivers seat and one in the corner of the passenger seat. Trunk is perfect with original jack, tools, spare. I have original owners manual, a stack of receipts going back 20+ years. I am driving the car daily and im almost to 140k. I love every mile I have left to drive her! This is also a factory manual door locks. The clutch works perfect, between the short shift linkage as well as the short shifter, its as good as I have driven pre B5 chassis. As good as it gets for a pre 96 Audi. No Dissapointments here. Ive been driving the car, so miles are going up. I have noticed it will be needing a passenger e-brake cable as it is stretched all the way. Yes the Factory stereo works and sounds good. there are a couple tears in the rear carpet as pictures show from the roll bar years ago.
