This 1964 dodge 440 is one clean/rust free car with many high end parts. It is a four door which has approx.. 63k original miles. There is just over 12k in just parts/labor spent on this car within the last two years. It is documented on the title from the previous owner. I purchased this car about 1-1/2 years ago from a guy in Minn. Who purchased it from the original owner in South Dakota. The previous owner of the car had a race car/fabrication shop and going to transform this car into a two door and install a hemi. I have done this four door to 2 door conversion and it is fairly easy. It is not for the beginner, but straight forward. This car is just about rust free. The body has all original paint but shows it age. It looks pretty good for a 50 year old car. The body has never been repaired but does have scrapes and dents from the elderly owner. The floors, trunk pan and frame are all rust free, but does have light rust due to age. The quarters were never patched or replaced as are the rest of the body panels. Engine. 318 poly which is original and never removed from car. Vehicle has power steering. Unmolested engine compartment. Original air cleaner, covers, etc. New heavy duty battery cables and battery tray. Has new valve cover gaskets, just tuned up with new wires, etc. Runs perfect. No smoke or rattles when car is started when cold. The radiator is perfect, no leaks and cools perfectly. The previous owner told me that he had it recored with an original NOS part, but I have no receipt. It does look new. New belts too. Transmission. Stock 727 with new high flow, large capacity summit deep sump pan with pickup extension. New filter and just flushed and filled with Royal Purple synthetic transmission fluid. Shifts perfectly. Driveshaft. The driveshaft was replaced with the new Dana 60 was installed. A new one piece driveshaft made from chromemoly tubing and has an updated tail shaft collar to get rid of the troublesome pinion and trunion setup. Large U joints also installed. 735.00 without u-joints Rearend. A new Dana 60 has been installed. I do not remember the manufacturer but it is either a Strange or a Moser unit. Completely new unit. This unit was almost 2500.00 Suspension. The car has been lowered with Magnum Force Dropped spindles /hub assembly in the front and rear. The car does have the right stance. New heavy duty sway bars installed. 1500.00 with shocks. Brakes. The brake system has been upgraded to the Wilwood four wheel disc brake set-up. They look like the large 12 inch version. Entire brake system has been upgraded including the master cylinder. Car stops on a dime. Even the emergency brakes work perfectly. 3175.00 for the Wilwood brake system. Wheels and tires. Car has 17 inch American Racing rims which are coated and need no polishing. Tires are new and have P215-65R/17 Goodyears on the front and P255/60R/17 on the rear. They fill up the wheels perfectly. These are 2500.00 alone. Gas tank. Gas tank is new, with new straps and has new pickup and sending unit. 375.00 Body. Car has original paint and has never been repaired, patched or fixed. Door seams, pans and entire car is rust free. I have owned many of these cars and this is the best one I have ever owned. It even beats any California car. Car was always garaged since day one. Interior. The interior is near perfect. Dash is perfect and never molested. Seats are still firm. Steering wheel is even perfect. New NOS FM converter just installed. All the gauges work except for clock. There is a lot of money poured into this car and you can drive it anywhere. I do not think anyone will be disappointed with this car. It does the same thing everytime and can be drive anywhere. Car is sold as is and encourage buyers to come and inspect personally. Buyer responsible for shipping charges.
