Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 1997 BMW 740i . The car is in overall good condition. I am selling both of my current vehicles to put towards a new car. 4.4 Liter V8 Automatic Transmission 177,000 Miles Green with Tan leather seats The good: Engine runs excellent. Runs strong with no noise or smoke. No leaks. Brand new Radiator. Brand new Trans cooler lines (Failed right after auction ended last time) Transmission shifts smooth and quiet. Body is in good shape. Has a minor dent in the passenger fender, and a few of the rubber trim pieces have wear, but still cleans up very nicely. 4 Newer tires (less than a year old) New brake pads and tie rod ends. Hot heat, cold a/c. All power accessories work with the exception of the drivers rear window. Heated seats, sunroof, climate control, etc all function as they should. The Not so good: Cupholder is broken. (Typical issue) Has typical e38 display pixel issues on both cluster and radio. Minor wear on arm rest Some of the wood trim inside has minor wear. Sway bar links make a little noise over bumps at low speeds. One tiny rust spot (dime sized). See picture. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this anywhere. I've included a brief video of it running and driving. Sorry for the poor audio quality: On Feb-25-14 at 16:00:54 PST, seller added the following information: Edit: A few people have inquired about the nasty feedback left about this car. Shortly after the previous auction ended, the car developed a leak from the front area of the transmission. I couldn't see exactly where it was coming from, and appeared to be leaking from the front of the transmission. I informed the buyer, refunded his deposit, and he left nasty feedback anyway. It wound up being the cooler lines, right where they enter the transmission. I have replaced the leaking line, and everything is fine. You are more than welcome to come see the car in person and test drive it if you have any concerns.
