Vehicle Detail
Welcome to my Auction!! I've been on this thing for years and have WELL OVER $7000 invested and now I want out of it. I Found a new Motorcycle I want. It has a newly rebuilt 302 from a 1979 Ford something with new accessories: starter chrome alternator, rebuilt carb, headers, hoses, belts, fuel pump, etc. It has a new aluminum radiator. When I bought the car the engine was wrapped on a pallet. The PO told be it had just been rebuilt. This isn't something I can verify but it runs great and looks to be true. Headers and 2 1/2 inch exhaust with removable cutouts. It sounds really good. The AOD transmission has the adapted cross member and was rebuilt less than 500 miles ago. It's from a mid 80's sedan. The overdrive is sure nice on the highway. The drive shaft was cut to match with new u joints. This was a $2500 venture with the shaft, bracket and rebuild. I did the "Granada front brake conversion" with new pads and rotors but it has been sitting for a couple of years. Essentially, some dude figured out that the spendels, master cylinder proportioning valve and all could be swapped from a Granada onto a 65 mustang. It works perfectly. I re-plumbed it and it stops great. I also did rear brakes and axle bearings and seals.New gas tank. New shocks, front end is tight, it runs and drives. The tag and the title are current and in my name. All the glass is in good shape. The back glass won't stay up. I think the plastic parts are broken but the actuators are there. Pony interior that is not show quality but is passable. The door panels aren't perfect but are passable as well. The electrical is all there and mostly working. The brake lights headlights rear turn signals work. I didn't spend much time figuring out the in dash wiring it lights up with the headlight switch but the gauges aren't connected. I installed an aftermarket temp and oil gauge under the dash. It needs backup lighting and front turn signals. Nobody likes the 1965 engine wiring so I removed it and it runs on an MSD box. Something does run the battery down if it sits too long. The battery is new. All tires have good tread but at least one should be replaced due to age rot. The front tires are new. It needs a lot of little things. Mostly a good body guy. I won't lie it has some mud. Probably a lot of mud. The passenger rear floor pan was replaced by me, the fronts have a little mud to seal but hardly any rust. There is some rust in the rear quarters but compared to others, it isn't much. I bombed it primer flat black and would consider it a 15 foot paint job. :) All of the sheet metal is from 1965. The doors hood and left front fender are from a different car but are not cheap replacement panels. If you want a drivable project that you can finish as you go. This is a great start. I've driven it on the highway and it runs and drives really well. The mechanical components are sound. The really expensive stuff is done. I'm just trying to get out of it with minimal loss. I have paid:$3000 for the car$2500 for trans rebuild shaft and bracket$600 for seats hood doors fender$300 for front tires$400 disc brake conversion$250 in rear brakes axle bearing and seals$200 windshield $150 used MSD box$500 Engine accessories starter alternator headers pump fan carb mounts$150 shocks$200 gas tankplus countless small partsJust that is $8250 (I wish I hadn't added that up. It's depressing). I can deliver up to 200 miles for $1 per mile.Text preferred but calls and emails are accepted. Feel free to contact me with questions. I obviously believe in full disclosure. I've been burned buying cars before. My name is Jason405-623-4269
