This is a real clean example of perhaps one of the most iconic cars of its era. This was always one of my dream cars & I'm sure I'm not alone. If you were rich & famous in the 80's, there's a good chance you had one of these in your garage. 32 years later, its still turning heads and looking good! This is a mechanically sound 1982 Mercedes-Benz 380SL. This Benz idles smooth and just purrs down the road. It starts, stops, steering, runs & drives just like it should. I have no mechanical concerns to report on this vehicle other than the A/C doesn't blow cold. It did work last summer after it was repaired and updated to 134a but has now leaked out again. The interior is in very good shape. The seats & trim show very little wear and feels like it did when it was new. One of the things I like the most about the car is the real wood trim. It just shows the true craftsmanship in the car. As pictured, there is a couple little areas of wear on the trim around the radio but isn't terrible and could be repaired if you wanted. The carpet was replaced about 2 years ago but other than that its all original. The exterior is in overall fair/good shape. It has a brand new rag top installed & goes up and down like it should. There are no major dents or dings on the car so the body is very straight. All the chrome and trim are present and in good order. As pictured, there are a few spots of paint that isn't too pretty up close but not to the point where the car in whole is considered an eye sore. Its really just due for a spot paint job or perhaps just a total refresh. Bottom line: This Mercedes is a real nice running, drop top, fun, eye catching ride. With a new paint job & A/C work, if would be about as show room as they get! In addition to the pictures, I have provided two youtube videos.
