NO RESERVE 2001 BMW 540i SPORT M – PACKAGE 6 SPEED You are bidding on my 2001 BMW 540i Sport 6 speed. This is a very rare BMW 5 series E39 chassis. I looked for a long time before locating a low mileage sport with a manual transmission. The bonus for me was the black and tan color combination. This is a very well maintained vehicle and the only reason I am selling it is my new job requires me to have a larger vehicle. Most of the miles have been accumulated on the interstate with a 27.5 MPG average. I have owned several different vehicles and this one by far has been my favorite. Please look study the photos as you can see it’s in very good condition. I have always used Pennzoil Ultra Oil and changed with a new filter every 6,000 miles. Cabin/Air filters have been changed every 12,000 miles and I change the transmission and rear differential every year with Royal Purple. I have changed spark plugs twice since I purchased the car with 46,000 miles. The car has a set of Bilstein dampners that should last forever. There are no missing pixels in the dash. The rear tires are like new and the fronts will last another 25,000 miles or more. I take very good care of my vehicles and I got 40,000 plus miles from a rear set of high performance tires. The vehicle has a staggered set of tires. I have replaced the front wheel bearings, alternator, radiator overflow, and 2 window motors. If I was keeping the vehicle I would consider replacing the valve cover gaskets and valley pan as they will need to be serviced at some point. Also, this is a sunroof car, the sunroof works and is leak free and wind noise free, it occasionally makes a noise that I have not been able to identify. However, you can drive the wheels off of this car and not worry about it depreciating any more. I will not provide shipping however I will help work with winning bidder.
