THIS IS A NICE DRIVABLE CLASSIC AND A REAL HEAD TURNER. I TAKE IT FOR A DRIVE FROM TIME TO TIME AND EVERY TIME THAT I STOP I AM ASKED A LOT OF QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS CAR. MOST OF THE UNDER 40 CROWD DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IT IS. THE CAR DRIVES NICELY WITH NO ISSUES. EQUIPPED WITH POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, POWER WINDOWS, POWER SUNROOF, THE A/C AND HEAT WORK GREAT TOO, ALL OF THE ANALOG GAUGES WORK THE WAY THEY SHOULD AND THE OIL PRESSURE HOLDS STEADY AT 40 PSI. THE ENGINE RUNS GREAT AND THE AUTO TRANNY SHIFTS THE WAY IT SHOULD WITH NO SLIPPAGE OR HESITATION. THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER, ALTERNATOR, AND BATTERY WERE REPLACED RECENTLY. THE RADIATOR IS LIKE NEW I HAD IT RE-CORED ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO. THE ONLY ISSUES THAT I KNOW ABOUT IS THE CRUISE CONTROL STOPPED WORKING AND ANALOG CLOCK DOESN'T WORK, THE WINDOW SEAL ON THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, (IT DOESN'T LEAK RAIN IN, BUT YOU GET A LITTLE WIND NOISE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS) THE SUNROOF HAS A CRACK IN IT BUT IT DOESN'T LEAK. (THE REPLACEMENT GLASS IS AVAILABLE FOR ABOUT $200). IF YOU NEED MORE INFO PLEASE CONTACT ME. If this is a problem for the people that have already bid on this car, you may withdraw your bid. I try to be honest with my listings on everything that I sell. Also FYI, I was told by a ebay member that according to the vin number that my Avanti II is the very first one built for the 1981 model year and that there were 161 units built instead of 200. According to him this car was manufactured in South Bend, Indiana at a former Studebaker plant, instead of Youngstown, Ohio. Avanti II production didn't start in Youngstown until 1987.
