1978 Honda Mini Trail 50 This bike has been sitting for at least the last 25 years in my uncle's basement. It was my little cousin's bike when she was a kid. She is now an old mom of 40 something. It's a great bike for a beginner. Bikes starts right up and runs great. I just started it today and rode it around the block, much to the amazement of the neighborhood kids! It has ample power to haul my 180 lb. self at speeds that made me a little nervous, and I ride a bike on highways regularly. 3 speed automatic clutch transmission. Front and rear brakes operate great. Has the original tools under the side cover for changing the plug. Mileage is unknown, there is no speedometer or odometer. The 9999 is for listing purposes only. There is a ding and some paint missing on the front fender, otherwise for a 35+ year old bike, it is in great shape. The fenders are metal. I made no attempt to paint the fender, I'm no good with paint. There are a front and rear light, but I couldn't figure out how to get them on, or there is some kind of switch problem maybe. I'm not an electrician either. May be just blown bulbs. There is no title for this bike, they were sold as off road only when new. I will provide a bill of sale. If you want to come look at it before you bid or buy that is fine. I am located in Durham, North Carolina. I expect bike to be fully paid for before it goes anywhere. Bottom line is bike is to be paid in full before I let it go. It is for sale locally so I reserve the right to cancel this listing at anytime. I prefer local pickup, but will work with buyer for third party shipping. I will also deliver within 100 miles for the cost of gasoline. All shipping costs are the buyers responsibility. Any crating needed will be at a cost plus basis. Please make arrangements accordingly before bidding. I can store the bike for a while if needed so you can look for a good shipper. It will be parked in my locked garage. I will not store it forever, so we need to come to an agreement as far as time limits. We can do this when the bike is paid for. I do not know how much it will cost to ship it.
