Up for auction this 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer with under 95,000 original miles. I want to be totally up front with you. This vehicle has a clear Arizona Title and shows to be "Restored Salvage" . The best I can tell is the front clip was replaced as the under hood paint is chipped and showing white underneath. They did a nice job and the Jeep looks and drives nicely. The Jeep has been completely repainted (presumably when body work done) and overall is a good paint job. This Jeep is what I would say is "Rust free" , the body panels, frame, floors etc are very nice and solid. The Jeep has been sitting for 3+ years and has not been offered for sale in that time. New gas was put in after old gas pumped out to check and drive it, the engine runs strong and the transmission shifts good. Driving Jeep revealed that it needs new tires, other than that it drove well. Road test results: Cruise control- Works Horn, lights, signals, all instruments-gages-Works (fog lights in-op), left side air vent pull cable broken. Exterior power mirrors both work Brakes / steering-Good operation and visual inspection Ok ***NEEDS TIRES*** A/C-Heater, Cooling system- All function normally **A/C works** Enigine-Runs smoothly with no misfire, Has slight cough under heavy acceleration-Lean type hesitation, *might clear up with additional driving** no abnormal exhaust noises Transmission, shifts as expected from Torqueflight 727 4X4, engages and disengages four wheel drive well and Hi-Low function works as well. Interior-leather seats very good condition and show slight cracking as is normal, R/F seat has small repair to leather., dash is good and shows no cracks, headliner is becoming delaminated and has pins to hold it up. Door panels look good, the simulated wood trim at the bottom of the windows shows some cracking. seat belts appear in good condition. carpet looks real good, especially for age. still has the roll up cargo cover behind rear seat. Both 6 way power front seats work fine in all directions. All power windows function in both directions with the exception of the passenger front window does not work, Engine compartment: has nice well kept appearance, all emission system parts are there and hooked up, belts, hoses look good, has new radiator and coolant appears new and does not leak. no oil leaks other than minor seeps you would expect to see on an engine with sheet metal covers. Most of hood insulation missing. Underside: no visable rust, has been undercoated, no excessive leaks from anything, exhaust system appears in good condition, brake lines etc appear OK, floor panels etc appear very good. Exterior: Faux wood trim missing on R/F fender, wood grain has small tear R/F fender appx 1" long, has small dent in tailgate (likely from dropping tailgate onto trailer jack), left side of hood has small dent. Paint is solid and would rub out to look sweet or leave as it is, it really doesn't look bad. I realize buying a vehicle over the internet can lead to some anxiety. I have been selling on eBay since 1996 and have sold a few cars, an airplane and a Ranger bass boat through eBay. On Jan-22-14 at 11:41:44 PST, seller added the following information: I had a question about the tires being able to make a trip, I would strongly advise not as the tires are out of round from sitting and I suspect they would separate if driven at any speed or distance. The wood grain paneling (vinyl) is in good condition with these notable exceptions: R/F fender vinyl has appx 1 inch tear near marker lamp and tail gate vinyl has light cracking that is noticeable when the light hits it just right.
