I have a 1976 VW type 2 transporter bus just sitting in my garage. Vehicle will run. I bought it 3 years ago from a friend. He bought it from NJ and ran it for 3 years. He broke the temperature sensor off in the engine and there it sat for 4 years. I tricked the sensor by using alligator clip to engine. Got it running last year. That was it, never got back to it. It has a new battery & new secondary ignition parts (plugs, points, cap, etc). It has some rusting in usual places,lower body panels, around windows, etc. but no holes and mostly surface. I cleaned up a couple of the hub caps and they look great. We have kept it in the garage to prolong any further deterioration. We started to fix her up a little,but not that much. Most likely will need maintenance items because of sitting. I would say, tires, and possibly brakes. Comes w/some parts, Owners Manual and a nice custom cover. Its really not too bad all around. Bus Did NOT come with middle row seats, all others present. The pictures are not the best cause its in the garage hindering good views. The color is supposed to be orange, but it looks either to have faded to yellow or was painted at some point in its lifetime. Nice Restoration project or just do bare minimum and run her! Vehicle is sold AS-IS with no warranty. oh, NH does not require a title for a vehicle over 17 years old, only a bill of sale, so depending on your state, you may have to file for one. The odometer reads 90, 532 but I have know way of knowing if its correct or if its 190,532 , 290,532, etc... Also, I believe previous owner said the engine was either rebuilt or replaced right before he bought it. Thanks for looking!
