We have been selling Landrover Defenders within the UK and Ireland for the last 8 years and sell an average of 4/5 a week. Any Landrovers over 25 years old that we had in the past were sold to a company that exported them to the U.S.A and Canada however we are now doing this ourselves and can also send to other worldwide locations. We have an extensive knowledge of Landrover Defenders and below you will find a complete and accurate description of this one. Specific attemtion has been paid to ensure our Landrovers all have excellent chassis's and are in as original as possible condition. All our vehicles offered on Ebay USA are over 25 years old so will be accepted into the U.S.A. with no problems. We will sell to the U.S.A, Canada and Mexico and many other worldwide locations. The Landrover has been owned by a member of the UK Landrover Owners club and has been well maintained over the years. It has only covered 58,000 miles and has a valid UK Government issued MOT until November 2014. In the MOT they check things such as brakes, steering, corrosion on the chassis, tyres, lights etc etc and this passed with flyinh colours just over a month ago so ready to use on a daily basis as it is. The Landrover has a 2.8 turbo diesel engine fitted which is much better than the 2.25 diesel as it more refined and more reliable. This is mated to a 4 speed stick shift. The fuel is also diesel. The bodywork is very good indeed and is one of the straightest you will find. It has recently undegone some light restorative work in which new door tops have been fitted and the chassis has been protected in accordance with the correct procedure. The paintwork is like a military green colour with not much of a shine but this is just how they are. The sides are superbly straight and there are no nasty dents, scrapes etc. There are a couple of light marks as you would expect but these are only very light indeed and they are hard to see on the images. There is no rust or corrosion to the bodywork at all and it has been very well kept indeed. It has been kept inside for the last few years and you can tell by its condition. There is a good useable step on the drivers side which is useful for getting in and out. There is a good galvanised front bumper on which looks like brand new also. Other extras include headlight protectors both front and rear. There is also a good tow hitch. All in all, very good indeed and the new keeper will be very happy. The interior is pretty much in original condition. The front seats are original vinyl seats and are in decent condition but they do have a few light rips in them which is what you usually find at this age. The dashboard and door cards are also in very good condition with no major marks. There has been a cubby box put in between the two front seats which is handy also. The soft top is water tight and the whole cabin area is very dry indeed. The door tops have been changed for new ones recently and the doors shut very nicely indeed. To the rear there are bench seats down each side so you can carry quite alot of passengers if needed. The bulkhead is in good condition and there are no nasty holes etc. Again, all very good indeed. Mechanically the Landrover is excellent and I was pleasantly surprised when I first got behind the wheel. The engine starts very well from warm or cold and runs nicely with no nasty noises from the motor. The 4 speed transmission is excellent and all the gear changes are smooth with no crunching or jumping out of gear. The clutch has been recently changed and a new uprated master cylinder was added so that is all working 100%. The brakes are good and bring the truck to a stop in a good safe distance. The steering is typical Landrover with a bit of vagueness but this is just what you come to expect from a Landrover. The water temperature sits nicely and there is hot air from the heaters. The fuel gauge all works correctly as it ought to and all the electrical items such as windshield wiper, lights, horn etc all work. I cannot really fault the Landrover and I have included a You Tube video at the bottom of the advert of me driving it on the Motorway. I drove it for over 80 miles at 55 mph and it never faultered at all. It was a pleasure to drive. PLEASE BID WITH CONFIDENCE.
