Vehicle Detail

For sale today is a 2001 Corvette Z06! Boost ready, with many new parts. Vehicle was my room mates and he has decided to buy a BMW so has asked I sell it for him. Vehicle was built by Tick Performance in Mount Airy NC. Car has a iron block 5.3 in it with stock rods and pistons and had 12k miles on it from a van. After the motor arrived Tick put a custom grind camshaft in which ill have to get the specs from tick, but it was designed specifically for a Centri Supercharger. We also installed head studs with GM MLS gaskets. Katech rod bolts, comp cams trunion bearings, double valve springs, and titanium retainers along with hardened pushrods. The transmission was rebuild by tick as well and is their stage two option. Along with that we installed a spec stage 3+ clutch and tick master clutch cylinder. This clutch pedal is extremely stiff and grabs like crazy. They also installed a set of long tube headers and X pipe. We retained the stock mufflers. The car also received new c6 z06 shocks all the way around, rotors, pads, tie rods, sway bar end links, so the suspension is basically all new. Tick did not install any of the suspension or brakes except for the c6 z06 shocks. I also helped him install C6 seats which had a little better support than the c5 seats. Finally we installed new front tires(don't remember the brand) and new nitto 555r drag radials in the rear. Plenty of life left on all four tires. Car has about 15k miles on it since all this work was done. Car made 360 RWHP on a dynojet at Tick Performance. Again, I can get the paperwork and Dyno sheet from tick for the buyer when he or she arrives. Car also has a new alternator Now all this doesn't come without its flaws. Car has some issues.... 1.Front bumper has various rock chips and the license plate center piece has clear coat peeling. The bumper itself isn't peeling but the center plate piece which says corvette on it is peeling 2. common problem but I want to disclose that the ac controls do not display fan speed and temperature. The lcd in the ac controls has stopped working. The ac and heat still works, but you cant read temp or fan speed. 3.Driver door model sometimes doesn't lock the door when you click the lock button... Typically there is a relay on the motherboard of the door module that fails and can be replaced, or you can replace the entire door module. There is a write up on the corvette forums which explains how to replace the relay. 4. Even though the alternator is new, it isn't a OEM GM alternator and still reflects a charging system fault on the dash even though it is charging almost 14V. I am working on getting this resolved by updating the tune in the ECU to allow the aftermarket alternator to run without throwing this code. No charging problems actually exist, and I personally guarantee it will not cause you to be stranded. This sometimes happens when an aftermarket alternator is used on these cars according to my research on the corvette forums Otherwise the car is sold as is where is. I am willing to throw in a A&A corvette fuel system to support 750RWHP. The system was used on my personal corvette and made 797 rwhp with a boost a pump. It has about 1000 miles on the kit and will need to be installed, but I will go ahead and include it which would save you 1000 bucks if you plan to supercharge the car. If you plan to supercharge the car you would need fuel injectors, and a supercharger kit. Install, and tune. Car runs and drives smooth and well. It has a bit of lope to it and when cold can be a bit hard to idle until it warms up. No check engine lights, or problems other than noted. Paint with exception of front bumper is flawless. The only thing on the car that has 138k miles is basically the chassis. Mileage will increase as its still being driven
