This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION. This is the 2nd time for this car on eBay and it must sell. High bidder WILL win the car. Up for auction is this rare 1968 AMC Rebel 770 Station Wagon. This is a rare find and a nice old wagon to take to local meets and shows, etc... This was a low production car to begin with and very few are still around. This is a driver that's in good condition, and it runs very well. A lot of restoration work has been done, but it will need some more attention if you want to make it show winner. As is, its a fun vehicle and a great converstaion starter. Station wagons are IN, and this is a great way to get involved. This 1968 Rebel is a rare classic with a low reserve price. Bid To Win! I bought this car from a private owner in Conneticut. They do not have titles for classic cars like this. I have a bill of sale and a transferable registration from Conneticut, and an original title from Virginia from when the car lived there. The previous owner did most of the restoration work and upgrades on the vehicle. The car has about 129,488 original miles on it, and just about 200 miles on it since the mechanical rebuild. Recent work includes: Rebuilt motor .30 over pistons Mild cam HEI ignition .20 planed form head Offenhouser performance intake Holley 390cfm 4 bbl. carb Aluminum 3-core radiator New battery New terminals New 55 amp altenator New voltage regulator Rebuilt starter Please read through my description thoroughly and look at all of the pictures. Call or email with any questions you may have, and I will answer them truthfully and accurately. The original color was Laurel Green. This car was repainted some years ago in a darker shade of green with some metal flake. There aren't any dents in the body. There is a scrape on the right rocker panel. The glass on the car is fine - the windows and tailgate work great. There is a small amount of de-lamination in the lower part of the windshield on the passenger side. in my opinion, it's too minor to fix. This is not a rusty car, but its not perfect. There are a couple of bubbles on the lower right quarter panel - very minor. There are also a few small rust spots on the front floor that have been patched. The interior is also in nice shape. The front seats have been recoverd as original, and there are new front carpets. The visors have been re-stitched. The headliner is also new. This car has seat belts for six passengers. This Rebel has power steering, and the original AM radio works great with a new antenna. Please note: the gas gauge does not work (needs a sending unit), and the wipers are vacuum operated - they work when they want to. The 232 cubic inch 6 cylinder runs very well, and drivability is very good. The front end end is tight, and the transmission shifts fine. (you will get a small drip of fluid on the gorund if the car sits for while) As I mentioned earlier, the motor was rebult about 200 miles ago, and some significant upgrades were made. Here's that list again: Rebuilt motor .30 over pistons Mild cam HEI ignition .20 planed form head Offenhouser performance intake Holley 390cfm 4 bbl. carb Aluminum 3-core radiator New battery New terminals New 55 amp altenator New voltage regulator Rebuilt starter The front tires are brand new. The rear tires are not new, but still have very good tread remaining. The window sticker shows a lot of interesting options, but does not list power steering, which this car does have. It may have been dealer-installed. If you are in South Florida, you are invited to inspect and test drive this vehicle.
