Vehicle Detail

The good: Very stout MOPAR 360 tire chirping motor will spin the 4:11 rear gears. If it is a Barrett-Jackson car you are looking for then tune in to their auction as this is not it. This is however a very solid car of which to start your build or freshen up what is already here. This car was undercoated at some point in its 40 year old life and the frame is incredible! No rust where one would normally find on this Gen III Charger. It does have the power bulge hood and this car is complete. You are probably like me, spending hours on EBAY, Craigslist and Special Interest looking for your next project. I know what is out there, Rusty shells, missing tons of parts that you will spend years looking for the parts here on EBAY and at Carlisle, If you are lucky, you might score some banged up parts, if not Oh well. This car is not without its own issues. There is a header leak on the right side, and the roof at one time had a 70's aftermarket sunroof in it that has been removed. The roof is sold though, but I never got around to replacing the headliner inside. The dash lights do not work, but all the instruments in the dash are working. Aftermarket stereo also works. I put in the 71 Grill and 1972 Taillight setup. I have the 73 grills and taillights that I will put in the trunk for you. I do have the bumpers but they are intact but painted as the chrome was shot on them. I also have the factory mechanics books I will also throw in. I know this car is NOT correct to the MOPAR purists, but you either love the GEN III Chargers or you don't. I think the 73 has the most graceful body lines of the 71 and 72.. Very slight rust in the bottom corner of the drivers door, probably due to the window whiskers being worn. Paint is over 10 years old and has some orange peel on the Hemi Orange paint. I sanded a little bit on the hood looking to buff it out but the weather went south up here in Long Island NY. Again, if you are looking for a turnkey driver that will win trophies at your local car show then this is NOT the car. If you are looking for a car that YOU can tweek to your specs without breaking the bank - then this car is for YOU. Look at what else is out there - a few nice cars out there with hefty price tags and a few cars that will require a ton of work, money and effort. Buyer must make all arrangements for shipping or pick up on Long Island. I have owned this car since 2001 - clear NY State Title. Currently registered and insured. I do not know the exact mileage because it doe snot have the original engine or instrument cluster. I have too many projects and my wife is breaking my stones to the point that I am parting with a lot of stuff. I also have the flat hood that came with the car if you want me to put that on the car instead of the power bulge hood. I doubt I can ship it with the car. Any questions feel free to email me. I know I will need more photo's, but what I have should help you out. I am also attempting to sell locally. I am not a car dealer and not looking to get rich on this - I think I have posted a fair starting price and am willing to take reasonable offers. Looking for prompt payment via PAYPAL at the completion of the auction and again - you are responsible for all shipping arrangements.** I have added several pictures which depict the condition of the body prior to the paint that is on there now as is shown in the pictures. Also an engine pic and trunk pic. Also, the roof is not vinyl, it is painted to look like vinyl. I have had many inquiries and I also highly recommend flat-bedding or a car hauler to your location as it has the 4:11 gears and would not be a ride I would want to undertake. There are numerous people watching this auction. Good luck.
