Vehicle Detail
Just in time for christmas, you can own this vintage 66 international travelall or buy as a gift for a fraction of the price of a new SUV or even a diamond. This is a very used travelall but it runs good and the tags are good for a few more months, all the windows on the left side are cracked (thanks to the kids next door) also the right side backdoor glass is cracked but the windshield is in good shape. the rear tires and wheels in the pic don't go with it, the stock ones will be on it with new tires and the front tires are almost new. The motor has been pulled and all new freeze plugs installed the oil pan was removed and cleaned out and bearings inspected about 6 thousand miles ago. Hoses, water pump, fuel pump and plug wires were also replaced at that time. Brakes work but could use adjustment front shoes have been replaced along with rear shocks. The major things wrong with it are the transmission is worn out and pops out of 2nd gear , pinion seal leaks, needs front shocks and sway bar link,A/C, heater dont work also the tailgate and rear window need work and some parts. This is an old car and probably needs alot more but we have had a blast with this, it has been a backup and road trip car for the last few years and over the summer completed a 480 mile round trip to vegas through death valley. This was done on a dare and probably wasn't smart but it made it. Along with the travelall is a 4spd trans with bellhousing, transfer case and front end from a 71 international 4x4 truck since the travelall is a i beam front end with leaf springs it may be easy to make 4wheel drive or just use transmission to replace worn out 3spd. Any question please ask.On Dec-02-13 at 17:48:09 PST, seller added the following information: I have had a lot of questions and a few buy it now offers. As far as the offers I will not consider any for under the listed buy it now price now that it has been bid on. To cover some of the questions, it does run and drive but is not what I would call "safe" or "road worthy" but I also think it would probably make it to the east coast since it is an International. I have had a few asking about rust, I did not see any at first but under the rubber floor mat there is some rust probably from hosing it out for 46 years it is not rusted through and cant be seen from underneath. All the glass that is cracked is flat other than the long curved left rear glass that one may be hard to find but the flat glass can be cut to fit, I never priced any since I could see through it and it keeps the rain and wind out. The fuel gauge does not work and the battery is old and some times needs a jump if it hasnt been driven. As far as MPG I do not know, probably closer to a dump truck than a Prius. On Dec-03-13 at 17:55:45 PST, seller added the following information: Buy it now price is $1500. also I said it will have new tires on the back they are new as they have no miles on them but they are a few years old, they were bought at the same time as the fronts but never put on. the front have around 2000 miles on them.On Dec-06-13 at 17:08:23 PST, seller added the following information: Due to lots of requests and for full disclosure I have added more pictures I hope this helps. The pic of the rust on the floor is the right side in the back it is the only place I could pic up the floor mat enough to take a pic without breaking the rubber. But that is what the floor looks like under the mat, there are no holes and it feels sturdy. Unless you are going for a full resto a good cleaning, prep and paint will probably be good. The floor behind the seat is plywood with rubber from the factory the wood is ok but the rubber is not. Other things I have thought of is the headliner is gone, the stock carb was rebuilt by a company named Recarbco and should be as good as new since it cost around 250 bucks, have the owners manual and the stock rear wheels have been powder coated bright green (don't remember why). I hope this is enough info to be an informend bidder as I don't want the winner of this fine auto to have regrets or hard feelings.
