Vehicle Detail

***1972 TRIUMPH TR6 SURVIVOR 2 OWNERS BOUGHT NEW IN ENGLAND*** ***DAMSON RED EXTERIOR --- NEW TAN INTERIOR*** This is a 1972 Triumph TR6 that the owner asked me to list. She inherited the car in 2001 from the original owner. He bought the car when he was in Britain and had it built with left hand drive. He drove the car all over Britain and Europe taking it across the Alps three times. He had the car shipped to the US. The car has always been garaged. The owner thought the paint was original but I found a couple of over spray places so we now think the car was repainted one time in the past. The engine was either rebuilt or replaced with one the original owner bought on another trip to Britain - the current owner cannot recall. A new top was installed in 2000 and it still looks new. The current owner had the floors repaired and the carpet replaced. She also had Michelin red line tires installed about 5 years ago - tires still look like new. The TR has an April 2014 Virginia safety inspection sticker. This means the steering, brakes, lights, etc were checked and found to be in good working order. Car fires right up, runs and drives fine. This car never had a radio. The owner has been storing the car and has decided it is time to sell. Email me any question and you may ask for the owner's number to set up a time to see the car. The paint has some chips but is glossy. Body is straight, chrome and trim are have aged but are still presentable Top and tires are like new Tires are Michelin red lines in 185X15 Car runs and drives well The front bumper has some damage from the time it was towed years ago. The backup lights come on when the car is put in reverse. Dash pad is in good shape with no cracks Interior has seat belts There is a little overspray on the door hinge which led us to believe the car was repainted once in the past Seats are in very nice shape for their age. Car was always garaged. 39,120 miles on odometer and that is the mileage on the engine since it was installed Car never has had a radio - that is a compass to the right of the gear shifter Passenger door panel Driver door panel Tonneau cover installed Cover from the other side The engine was either replaced or rebuilt about 39K ago - current owner isn't certain Engine side with carburetors - original air cleaner is pictured below Master cylinder Sticker on driver side inner fender Radiator SU carburetors Plates on passenger side firewall Underside of the hood Trunk has original boards and mat Underside of trunk lid UK plate the original owner used Passenger side of the trunk Driver side of the trunk VIN is CC82320U - TR-6 built in 1972 with Paint 17 Damson Red and Trim 33 New Tan Clear State of Virginia title The car comes with a couple of shop manuals, original air cleaner and several spare parts Grill is sharp, you can see minor bumper damage Hood Driver front fender Red line Michelins Windshield has been replaced Straight body Driver door Driver side rear wheel Plastic in top is clear, like new Deck lid Lenses are in good condition Chrome has aged but still looks okay Triumph emblem Passenger rear quarter Original wheels Black top Passenger door If you are seriously interested in this car my advice is to come and see it.
