Very impressive and beautiful 1947 Alfa Romeo Sport Touring Berlinetta with chassis (VIN) number 915442 and engine number 925228. It has a Superleggera body by Touring, (Touring Body No. 3215), painted in red. The body is very good and sound as is the paint which was done in the 1980's, there are some chips in the paint and a couple of dents on the top of the front right wing. The interior is very good in light brown/beige leather which is loose fitted, the headlining is clean and present. The car was last driven on the road in the late 1980's and although the engine runs it would need to be gone over mechanically, the electric wiring is needing replacing as it has been partially stripped. The car has been part of a collection for nearly 25 years so now needs a new owner to do the work it needs to get it to the highest standard a car of this calibre deserves. Brief history:First known owner in Malta 1952 later owned by Murray Rainey who sold to Australia. It completed the 1978 Australian "Mille Miglia" run for historic Alfas before returning to the UK in the 1980's. Any questions or queries please ask.
