You are bidding on a 1950 Plymouth Special Deluxe Four Door Sedan (P20). It is being offered with NO RESERVE. According to the car's previous owner, it was in storage from 1955 until 1982, at which time it was retrieved and restored. Following its restoration, the car won numerous awards, including a 1st Place at the 1992 Plymouth International Summer Meet in Brampton, Ontario. The Plymouth has logged about 40,000 miles since the restoration was completed. The restoring owner kept meticulous records of the restoration (included with sale) noting work done with date and mileage, parts and services purchased, etc... Exterior: The records show the car was repainted in enamel in 1985, and the paint work is holding up very well. There are some very minor dings and scrapes (see pictures) and the paint does show some wear on the trunk and roof. Exterior brightwork is in good condition - some pieces show less-than perfect rechroming. A number of parts including the bezels, trunk and hood ornaments, and gravel shields are shown to have been rechromed during the restoration as well. Tires were installed in 1990. Mechanical/Structural: The Plymouth runs and drives very nicely. Brakes were redone during the restoration with silicone fluid. Engine shows 40 lbs of pressure (see picture) at about 2,000 rpms. Engine does not appear to have been opened, but was tuned up and received an exhaust valve spring kit in 1992 at 33,000 miles. Gas Tank was cleaned and epoxied in 1992 as well. Transmission was serviced (invoice shows "R and R") in 1994. Car shows little if any structural rust or corrosion. Interior: Interior is in excellent condition. File shows an invoice dated 1994 for new seat coverings and headliner. Dash and instruments are in fine shape, but the floor coverings and door panels show some wear (see pictures.) Car is fitted with front seat belts. Other: Sale includes car cover, manuals and spare parts in trunk. Spare tire is original as is trunk mat.
