DUE TO LAST WINNER BACKING OUT, you have a second chance at winning this 1991 Lincoln hearse, built by Miller-Meteor on Town Car chassis. Runs great, very reliable, but needs some TLC to bring back to the dignified coach it once was. PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO FOLLOW THROUGH. THANK YOU. Runs great, gets 20 MPG. Does not leak a drop of anything, including coolant, oil or trans fluid. Heat blows hot and air is nice and cold. All accessories work as should, except auto fan speed for the climate control. It has high and off. Interior still looks as good as the day it left the factory, with the exception of a minor scratch on the casket table. Body is good to fair. Number two side doors are getting rusty along bottom, all others are fine. The top, rear fenders and back loading door are fiberglass so no worries of rust ever. Front and rear bumper has some chips/rubs, and the plastic chrome trim on them is peeling. Rear air suspension has been converted to coil springs, so no more troubles of leaky air suspensions. Windows do not go up or down, but motor in both doors works, needs regulators, can be purchased new on Ebay cheap. Trip meter and Odometer no longer works so mileage is not accurate. Needs new exhaust, recently got very loud. Stereo has been removed. Missing one wheel cover. The funeral home that owned it put tinted Lexan in the casket compartment windows because the original glass de-laminated. I have the review mirror, it just needs glued back on. Vinyl top has some small bubbling above windshield, and a small tear on side (see photos). A few weeks ago something just didn’t feel right so I took it in for an alignment. I was told it needs lower ball joints and inner and outer tie rod ends, idler and pitman arm. You can buy a NEW front end rebuild kit with all the parts needed off Ebay for under $300. I would recommend trailering it until front parts get replaced, then I would not be afraid to drive it across country. Check engine light comes on, because of EGR valve, been like that since I bought it. I know this all makes it sound bad, but it s very good car and well maintained until recently. Ive drove it almost daily since I purchased it in 2006. I hate to see it go but I have other projects that I would rather put the money into, and I need to thin out the collection anyway.
