Vehicle Detail
This is a very nice original Honda CB750. The original owner passed away a while ago and his widow wants it gone. As you can see from the pictures, it is complete and unmolested. It isn't perfect, but very close. The exhaust is solid with no dents, rust holes or major scratches. The paint looks to be original with a scratch in the tank and one small dimple close to the scratch. If you look real close, you may be able to see it in the close up picture of the tank. The gas cap is off from an earlier model,(72 or earlier), I believe, but it is in excellent condition. It is the non-locking style. The side covers are very nice with no cracks or scratches and all the mounting posts are intact. There is a small amount of paint missing from battery acid leakage at some point. You should be able to see it in one of the close up pictures. Tires are in excellent condition. Front is new and rear has low miles. Battery is good. Brakes are good. Starts, runs, shifts, rides and sounds great. No rust in tank. Petcock works great with no leaks. Speedometer and tachometer work fine. Headlight, tail light, brake light and turn signals all work fine. Blinker warning beeper is still in place and works fine. Oil light, neutral light, high beam indicator light and blinker indicator light work as they should. The only thing that doesn't work is the horn, but I will look into that and may possibly have it fixed before the auction ends. Seat is original, but missing the strap that goes over the middle of it. Although there is no sign of it ever being there. The Owners manual and warranty/maintenance check list books are still under the seat, as is the original tool kit. Although it looks like one of the end wrenches is not an original piece,(see picture). I took the tank, seat and side covers off for cleaning and took several pictures of it that way. You can see the wiring has not been messed with and looks to be in original condition. Chain and sprockets look real good. There are 2 small dimples in the rear fender just behind the seat that can be seen in one of the pictures. the sticker that was there is also missing. I really haven't had to do much to this bike to get it into this condition. Basically, just sprayed it down with some citrus base cleaner and rinsed it off. I did use naval jelly on some surface rust and it cleaned up very nice. The mirror stems do have some pitting on them. I believe the only thing that isn't stock are the grips, but they are from back in the day. I would rate this bike at a 7.5 to 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. It really wouldn't take that much to make it a real cream puff or you could just ride it the way it is for the next 38 years,(that's how old it is now)! Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. The bike is also available for inspection if you are in the area. I would be willing to help get the bike to a shipper or possibly deliver it for gas expense,(with in a reasonable distance). There needs to be a 10% deposit of ending price, made through paypal within 24 hours of auction end. The rest of the money owed will be paid in cash upon pickup or delivery,(if I deliver it). It says that full payment is due within 14 days of auction end, but if it takes longer then that to take delivery, it is o.k. just let me know ahead of time. I just want final payment to be made after you have had a chance to see the bike and everything is acceptable and as described.
