Vehicle Detail
This is a true no reserve, absolute, $1.00 start auction from a seller with perfect feedback. The high bidder will own this car. Up for your consideration is a very nice example of a 1974 Plymouth Scamp. The engine is a 318 V8, with a mild cam (lovely lumpy idle), rebuilt top end (less than 200 miles), new Edelbrock carburetor, new belts and is mounted to an automatic transmission. The car starts, runs and drives as it should. It accelerates well and the transmission is very tight and crisp. It has recent brakes all around with new front rotors. It "glides" straight down the road without rattles, and stops straight. It's very tight. The interior is in very good condition with no rips or tears. The dash has a crack in each corner and one trying to start in the middle. The carpet is is good condition and shows very little wear. There are some scratches and a dime sized dimple in the head liner. All the gauges and dash lights work. The car has air conditioning, but it blows "cool" not cold. The body is very straight, the paint is shiny and maintains it's luster and the chrome is bright. There are two spots of rust coming through that will need repair (one on the trunk and one on the drivers side roof post) and some blisters beginning to show on a quarter panel and the drivers side rear (check out the pictures). The drivers side front wheel has a bit of surface rust. The glass is clear and in excellent shape all the way around. The drivers window rolls up 98% of the way. The engine compartment and trunk show very well. All and all this is a great little Scamp and gets compliments on it every single time I take it out... seriously, every single time. It will take very little to fix the cosmetic blemishes, and you will have a nice car for weekend cruise ins. As you probably know, since you're reading this post, blue collar muscle cars are the new cool and will continue to appreciate nicely. The purchaser is responsible for shipping cost, and the car is sold as is, where is. Please keep in mind that I work diligently to disclose, describe and photograph any flaws. I've taken many high resolution photographs below that accurately demonstrate the cars beauty and blemishes so you will be able to see exactly what you are getting. The title is free and clear from all encumbrances and in hand. The tags are good until 07/15. I need a $500 non refundable Paypal deposit within 24 hours of auctions close, and the balance paid in full (I prefer cash if possible) prior to shipping or pick up. Thanks for stopping by. You will really enjoy this little Scamp!
