This is a last minute sale of my baby. She was my daily commuter until last Friday. Drives like she's on rails, motor pulls great. She makes you smile top down or up. Moving this weekend, took her in for an oil change, and I'm told she overheated and it's probably the water pump. After $3k of repairs this year, and looking at a 1000 mile trip with a loaded car, it's too much. This year she's had new struts, rotors and brakes, radiator, expansion tank, and A/C blower. She needs a new top fabric someday, but her paint shines up beautifully. A couple tiny door dings, but not a speck of rust and no scratches. These pictures are dusty from the shop and don't do her justice, but I have no time. Moving van is scheduled. If no one wants her by Friday off she goes to the Viet Nam Vets donation. On Oct-01-13 at 14:36:55 PDT, seller added the following information: A few clarifications and additions: The water pump conveniently failed while at the shop. They caught it early and no damage appears to have been done. No leaking around the head gasket, etc. I was able to drive her the 3 blocks home without even getting up to operating temp, and the engine sounded just fine. But no, she should not be driven more than a couple miles. The car has premium tires with lots of wear left. No bearing or axle sounds at all. Stereo is Pioneer with Aux [iPhone] input, remote, and removable faceplate. Speakers are HK and Polk, and there's a 6-disk CD changer and huge Infinity amp in the trunk. Spare and jack are present. Top is mechanically perfect, goes up and down electrically just fine. Top fabric is tired and inexpertly repaired. Plastic rear window is faded. A/C blows ice cubes. Cruise control, traction control, driving lights, heated seats and elec seat controls all work perfect. Leather is typically worn but no stains or rips. Carpet is nice, no stains or rips.She's been kept in Castrol Full Synthetic and well maintained since I've owned her, and previous owners clearly kept her up *very* well...I'd say mostly at BMW dealers based on what I've seen.No car this age is perfect but she's a sweetie. Put in a $130 water pump and you have a $4k car. That's what I should do but I'm to busy. My 'buy it now' was $3k, so that gives you an idea of where we should end up here.Hope this helps.
