Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 2004 Ford F150 Super Crew 4x4 with 157,500 miles. It runs and drives fine. It was my daily driver until about a month ago when I purchased a F250 to be able to pull a 5th wheel trailer. This truck is an XLT with the 5.7L engine. It also includes a nice Extang Tonneau Cover. This summer I checked the mileage on a couple different trips. I got 16.5mpg when running north to Kalkaska on M66 and 17.7mpg running US131 at 74mph. It does have a few repairable cosmetic issues. The cab corners do have the typical through body rust ($750 for repair), there is a small dent in the box side on the drives side and the tailgate crumpled ($465 new painted with hardware and shipping) when a large rock rolled across the tailgate with 1 cable hooked and the other unhooked. Dang… You can see all the issues in the photos. Also, it will need tires (BFG TA $800) before snow falls. However, I’m pricing it accordingly to allow the new owner to fix as they desire. The KBB Fair Condition is $8639 and in Good condition its $9514. KBB Definition of “Fair Condition” is as follows: (- 18% of all cars we value) · Has some cosmetic defects that require repairing and/or replacing Requires some mechanical repairs The paint and bodywork may require refinishing and body repair The engine compartment has leaks and may require repairs May have some repairable rust damage The body has dents, chips, and/or scratches The interior has substantial wear, and may have small tears Wheels may be warped or bent, have major scratches, scrapes, or pitting and require replacement The tires may not match and need replacing Needs servicing, but is still in reasonable running condition with a clean title history A few service records are available My truck is better than their Fair condition requirement and I’m pricing it well below KBB value at $7800 obo. You can pick and choose to repair any, all or none of the cosmetic issues listed above. Please reply with questions and a phone number if you would like to have me call you.
