Vehicle Detail
I have up for sale my 95 Ford Bronco XLT 4x4. I am reluctantly selling this great truck. About 6 months ago I lost my everyday driver to a collision with a deer. When the insurance company finally totalled the truck, I had no desire to run out and buy a new vehicle. I only live 8 miles from my job and it seemed crazy to take on a $4-500.00 a month payment to drive 16 miles a day. So I ended up buying this Bronco to use for running back and forth to work until I decided what to do with a car. Just recently, I was telling a family friend about my situation and he mentioned to me that he was considering selling his wife's 02 WRX and asked if I was interested. Long story short it's an 02 WRX with only 57,000 miles and he's willing to let me have first dibs as I am a family friend. I bought the WRX and my wife liked it so much that she confiscated it and passed her 02 4 Runner on to me. So I've decided to list the Bronco for sale. It's a 95 Ford Bronco XLT. It has the bullit-proof 5.0 V8, and an automatic trans with overdrive, 3:55 rear axle ratio, and of course 4WD. It's fully loaded with P/S, power brakes, cruise tilt, A/C, power windows and locks, power rear window, tow package, and 4WD with manual locking hubs. This truck has 151,000 miles on it but it is my daily driver so expect those miles to increase slightly as the auction goes on. I bought this truck from a gentleman who was an auto tech. The truck was in his mother's name so I'm assuming she passed it down to him and he took very good care of it. In fact the detail in which he went over the truck and all the mechanicals that he covered with me led me to ultimately purchase it from him. As I said it has the tried and true 5.0 liter V8 which pulls strong and runs like a top. The previous owner recently tuned it up and this truck idles super smooth. It pulls well through all the gears and doesn't burn a drop of oil. It has great oil pressure and like I said runs very strong. I know that the motor was recently tuned as well as receiving a recent new water pump and thermostat. Other than that it looks like a super clean and well maintained motor. I just recently changed the oil and in 3000 miles it didn't burn a drop. I used quality Valvoline oil along with a factory Ford/Motorcraft oil filter. Also, my inability to correctly diagnose a corroded battery terminal led me to replacing the battery. The current battery in the truck is about a month old and the battery terminal has been replaced as well.....still kicking myself on that one. The trans is the factory Ford E4OD trans. It's an automatic trans with overdrive. It shifts smoothly and pulls well through all the gears. I've driven this truck on the highway and in overdrive it actually gets decent fuel mileage. It's no Honda Civic, but you can't see the gas gauge dropping like you can in my 68 Firebird. The 4WD system works flawlessly. My family has a home in the Pocono mountains of PA and I have a small 14' aluminum fishing boat stored up there. All summer long, I used the Bronco to drop my boat into the lake and each time I used 4WD. I was able to back into the lake and pull the boat out of the lake without so much as a slip in 4WD. I haven't used it in any snow yet but Bronco's have an excellent reputation for getting around in the snow. This Bronco has Warn manual locking hubs instead of the electronic push button 4WD system which for Bronco's is actually the better 4WD system. It's pretty common knowledge that Ford's electronic push button 4WD wasn't a great system and were known to have issues. I've known for years that the manual locking hubs are a far more desireable system. The interior of this Bronco is SUPER clean. The dash, seats, carpet, console and headliner are all in excellent shape. The driver's seat has a small spot where the suede material has worn away but it's not torn and like I said the interior is in great shape. Everything works too. The A/C blows very cold, the heat blows nice and hot, the factory Ford stereo works great. The power windows go up super fast and the power rear tailgate window goes up and down smoothly. One of the main reasons I bought this Bronco is based on all the recent maintenance items the previous owner installed recently. For starters the truck is PA state safety inspected until April of 2014. The truck also just received all brand new front brakes, rotors, calipers, brake hoses, and had the front hub bearings re-packed. The front ball joints were also just recently replaced as well as a brand new fuel tank with fuel pump, new front shocks, and also 2 factory leaf spring shackles were replaced due to rust. The exhaust system is also less than a year old. The tires are 31" Firestone all terrain tires and have good tread but will need to be replaced within about 2 years depending on the mileage you drive. The body on the Bronco is pretty solid for it's age and for the fact that it's a Bronco. They were know to be very rusty vehicle and be sure that I went over it with a fine toothed comb before purchasing. For starters the rear tailgate has some light surface rust but nothing is through. The floors are very solid as is the frame and balance of the chassis. I've taken some decent underneath pics and will gladly take more. The body is very straight and pretty solid. The passenger quarter has some good rust over the rear tire. The driver's side had rust in the same spot and it was repaired but it was NOT a great job. These 2 areas are extremely common in Bronco's and since the rest of the truck was so solid and well maintained I was willing to overlook these 2 areas with the mindset that I would fix them correctly at some point and then re-shoot the truck. As for the rest of the body, the paint shines VERY nicely and the truck is very straight. There is an aftermarket lighted Lund visor mounted on the front which has been painted to match the rest of the truck. All the chrome is in excellent shape as well. Like I said all the power accessories work well. The rear window rolls down without any issues as do both the driver and passenger windows. The power lumbar support in the front seats works well as does the heat and A/C. The only known issue on the truck is the fact that the ABS light stays on at times. The previous owner says he scanned the truck and found no codes leading him to believe it's nothing. Other than that this truck drives nice and straight and is a very comfortable ride. I have taken some pics of the underneath and I'm also more than willing to take more pics or show the truck in person as I believe it's a very solid 4WD for what I'm asking. Winter is right around the corner and now is a great time to score a 4WD if you don't have one. I've also take 2 seperate videos which I am posting below to give a better idea as to the condition of the truck. Please feel free to email me if you need any additional pics taken. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_eJo8unRf4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCaAb5S_tOo
