Vehicle Detail

This is the last year of the solid single axle. This vehicle is thought of by most as the height of the Toyota truck design. Super reliable and unstoppable. I went from a 2007 tacoma 4x4 to this and was amazed at how more i enjoyed this. The only reason i'm selling it is that i have a family of 4 and don't have much time to go off road or haul material any more. It has a cracked rear tail light these are $19 at car quest. I purchased a new tailgate handle but haven't yet installed it. I currently have the tail gate inside "cover" unscrewed so i can manually open the gate. I just put a new alternator in about 3 weeks ago as well as put new coolant in. The alternator has a lifetime warranty. The carb makes a whistle at idle but goes away when you give it gas. The noise goes away when you push lightly on the top of the carb so it's just one of the weber adapter seals. The seal kits are sold on ebay for under $20. I tried to tighten the 4 bolts a little and the noise isn't as loud. The bed has some holes near the tailgate where an old owner left a bag of cement over the winter. It's pretty minor, i was going to weld a little sheet metal in and rhino line the bed and it would look new but i haven't done it yet. This is a great vehicle for someone who has the time to enjoy it, i wish i could hold onto it for when that day comes again. I changed the registration to antique because i was going to garage it and make it really pretty but my plans have changed. So if it's going to be your daily driver you need to get normal plates. The suspension was lifted probably about 2 inches? I don't know exactly how high these were when stock but it looks very good and rides well. I was told by a mechanic friend that the lift was "done the right way". The previous owner was a semi truck driver who rebuilt cars in his free time. He had the engine ported, polished and honed. It probably has less than 3000 miles since then. The tires are BFG and were new a few months before the engine was rebuilt so they look basically new. The wheels are nice alloys. Tire size is BFG KO 33x10.5 R15 High load, Mud and Snow rated. These are awesome tires and cost roughly $1000 from less schwab. The locking hubs are the warn metal selectors. Optional items you can also get if you want: Aluminum diamond plate tool box locking with side pneumatic 'wing' doors $70 Stainless steel ladder rack $140 The weber carb gives it a lot of power. My new vehicle is a VW Vanagon and i really wish i had the Toyota engine and drive train in that vehicle.
