Description You are looking at a RARE One Family Owned 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback Survivor with 72,972 documented miles. This has been with a local family since new. If you cannot view all the photos, please click here. This Ford Mustang Fastback has been in the family since it was purchased ar Swendson Ford on April 26th, 1969. Please note the original bill of sale, owners manual, paperwork on repairs and other receipts, as well as the decode of the door tag which documents the car well. This car appears to be completely stock aside from a repaint and a mach one hood scoop added in the 1970s. Note that it has what appears to be the original seats, seat covers, engine, body panels, AM radio and wheels / wheel covers. It also has extremely low miles. Condition: Mechanically, this car runs surprisingly well. It drives, starts and stops well. We did not detect any blue smoke and the engine appears to be rebuilt or reconditioned some time in it's life. The battery is new, brakes were done in the 1990s as was the body and other maintenance. The Goodyear Wingfoot tires were also purchased in the 1990s. We do not know the condition of the shocks, front end components, etc. We also do not know the condition of the coolant, thermostat, and most other mechanical components. It should be thoroughly gone through before being driven due to age and storage. Cosmetically, the interior is beautiful, not needing much of anything. The headliner, seats, visors, dash and gauges are beautiful. The seat belts are there and original, and all the accessories we tested work such as the directionals, headlights, horn, tail lights, heater motor and radio. Even the interior lights work well. The body is fairly straight and it appears to retain all the original Ford issued body panels but no guarantees. The front bumper and trim has dents from the elderly owner pulling it into a concrete garage and bumping the wall multiple times over the years. There is some mud in the lower part of the panels it appears. The problem area of this car and many other mustangs is the underbody/frame areas. The good news is that it is not as bad as most. However, it does need attention and we will let that determination to the buyer who is welcome to have it inspected prior to bidding or closely look at the many photos. There is rust in the frame areas that may need attention. Please review the photos carefully and let us know if you need further photos or would like to have the car inspected. Everything aside, we were shocked to see the originality of this car, the interior, gauges and trim that make this car a very special documented survivor. However, if you have not owned a classic car before, they are a large amount of work and vintage cars are an ongoing project. Please bid accordingly. Additional Details: We cannot warranty any parts and as with any vintage vehicle, they are always a project in some way. Please note this before bidding if you are looking for a vehicle that will operate like a new vehicle. Collector cars are many times tempermental and reliability can be a factor on some. We also did not test each accessory or feature, and only drove the vehicle for a short distance. Also note there are marks and dings from use and age, including the front bumper as shown. Any of these should be trailered to their destination until the vehicle is checked over for safety (tires, etc). The title is free and clear, and we are also requiring a bill of sale be signed by the new owner stating this car is being purchased as-is. It is being sold to settle an estate. It is a straight car as you can see in the photos. The colors are great and it is very old school. As stated, it gets a ton of attention and would make a great addition to your collection.
