Vehicle Detail

Description Original owner, bought it brand new off the showroom floor from Dick Bradley’s Triumph, Richmond VA in 1980. It was a daily driver from 81-84, then was either garage or carport parked and used on weekends and occasional drives to work. I’ve had my sports car fun and am cutting back on toys; just too many things to keep track of and maintain and as I’ve aged I just don’t enjoy driving or tinkering like I used to. I have all service paperwork including original owner’s manual, shop manual, sales brochure, window sticker and various books and other related material. Most of the car is original except for the exhaust headers (can’t recall brand). The resonators were removed as well. I do have all original exhaust parts. Original plaid interior with no tears, rips. Original keys (one key the plastic ring is broken), plus one new one. Original jack, spare tire. Original paint and decals, some dings/nicks, some decals chipped\faded. Original convertible top, plastic windows replaced in 1983, the side windows are cracked (see photos). Original tonneau cover. All grommets in place on the top and cover. Original carpet, seats. Original radio ( not connected) and speakers. Original wheels. Replaced the 85mph speedometer with a 124pmh sometimes around 1985. Current speedo has 11,852 mi and the original has 35,851mi for a total of 47,703. Have the original speedo.Have all shop records, original window sticker, shop manual and other books and materials. Known Issues Car won’t start without starting fluid. It fires right up and runs for several seconds, then dies. Without using starting fluid, it cranks but doesn’t fire. It’s probably the fuel pump but I just don’t feel like messing around trying to replace it as it’s located in the gas tank and I don’t want to tow it to repair it. Like I said earlier, I’m tired of messing with old cars! Radiator fans re-wired to a switch on the console and not the auto-sensor. AC is connected but not working. Trunk struts not working, a stainless steel rod is used to prop open the trunk lid. Backup light is on. Brake lights not working. Gear shift is a little loose. Misc Optima gel battery Dealer installed Bosch driving lights (one lens cover cracked) Hella headlights. ebay ExperienceI previously sold a 1974 Detomaso Pantera to an ebayer in Norway. Check my feedback on December 28, 2007 for details and the ebayer’s name. That’s about all I can remember after 33 years of ownership. Feel free to ask any questions, I’ll try to answer the best I can. It was my first car after graduating from college. Hope it finds a good home, it has served me well. Conditions of Sale Please do not bid if you are not serious about owning this vehicle. I will report non-paying bidders. Car will not be released until all funds have cleared. Buyer responsible for shipping. Car sold as is. Feel free to ask questions, see more photos, but it has to be BEFORE close of auction. On Sep-27-13 at 07:09:11 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE- ebayer bob said-"Tell them it takes about an hour to change the pump, and the chunk of hose is about 3 inches long. There is also a filter sock on the end."
