Sadly selling a vintage classic motorcycle: 1978 Suzuki GS1000 E . I bought this several years ago from the original owner who lived near Chicago, and have detailed it to near show quality. This bike had extensive work done to it back in the late 1980's, to include a Wiseco 1085 kit, new Vesra gaskets, clutch springs, fork seals, chain, petcock kit, K&N filter and more. However it had sat for years, and I have cleaned, rebuilt, or refurbished many parts. The front master is painted and rebuilt, and bled, the tank and carbs are clean, new gaskets on the manifolds, newer battery. From sitting the fork seals are starting to leak, and the blinkers don't work, may be just the fuse. Starts, runs, shifts excellent, handles nice for a big old bike, Dunlops look near new yet. Mileage is just over 17,000. The pipes are extremely nice, no dings, rust. The gas tank has a small scratch on the top left side, but otherwise the paint is awesome. The seat is also near new, soft with no tears. The frame has a little rust at some edges, and the engine paint has flaked a little under the carbs, but you have to be close to notice. Only selling due to having several bikes and a crabby wife. Will cooperate with shipping, but it's your responsibility. Sold as-is, no warranty. Pics show the original title from IL, it's so cool I never titled in my name, but it's clean, also the old yellow note page with the big bore kit, etc. listed. Location is near Duluth, MN, at the western tip of Lake Superior.
