Vehicle Detail
I had to remove this auction last month, because I went to start it on the last day of the auction and it wouldn't start. I wasn't going to sell somthing that was not as I listed it. I had it repaired and am now relisting it about where it left off. I have also removed the reserve so good luck. Someone will be getting a fabulous deal. I bought this Scrambler in 1998 and started a complete frame off restoration. The body and the frame were both media blasted and restored from the ground up. I had Por15 blown through the inside of the frame while it was on the rotisserie. The bottom of the Jeep was treated with Por15, so the Jeep should last longer than any other on the road. The spray in bed liner was blown up the fire wall, throughout the engine compartment and the fender wells. There is not one area of this jeep that was not either painstakingly restored or replaced. It took me nearly 6 years to complete the Scrambler, as things were done as I could afford them. All the work on this jeep was performed by professionals. I was in the Marine Corps at the time, so due to some moves, the work was done by a few different shops. The restoration was completed in 2004 and have been enjoying it ever since. Unfortunately, I just don’t get to drive it as much as I would like, and I am in need of more space. I only get to drive it to work once a week. It runs great and is truly a blast to drive. I did upgrade the engine to the 304 V8 and switched the manual to a Jeep automatic. Doing this allowed me to install an original Jeep tilt steering column with the shifter on the column. I had the engine rebuilt with the Edelbrock kit, which included the aluminum intake, four barrel carburetor and an upgraded cam shaft. When I had the body work done I had them splice in metal where the radio was, so I could have the radio in the lock box. It comes with two set of doors. I have the half doors with the fiberglass uppers and a set of full of doors. I never use the upper halves, but they came with the half doors. The last thing I did was a complete skyjacker 4” suspension lift. I believe that the pictures speak for themselves; however I will be glad to answer any question you may have. I do have it for sale locally and reserve the right to remove the auction at anytime. There is some rust started where the two colors meet on the driver’s door. I have a quote for $350.00 to repair this. I can get it fixed or if the buyer wants to have this done, I’ll work with them. . INITIAL DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE This vehicle is SOLD AS-IS.
