- For Sale: 1958 Chevy Impala Biscayne *Rare*- Original Chevy 283 V8 Motor - rebuilt a few years ago - Very clean and runs very well Interior redone - New carpet, seats, door panels Electronics - Radio works with a back speaker - Exterior lights/blinkers work, interior lights do not turn on. Fuel gauge, oil pressure, volts, and water temp work. Speedo was disconnected but can be reconnected in the back of the cluster. Mechanics - Windows all roll down, Manual steering is solid, shifting is normal Transmission- 3 speed manual transmission on the column - Shifts perfectly just like it should Body - The paint job is a beautiful white and blue combo. As seen in the pictures rust has started to tarnish that awesome exterior a bit. I had a professional come and look at the rust and offered to fix it all for $2000-$2500. *If the winning bidder would like me to have that done for you, we can arrange that* Brakes - Brakes were recently upgraded to large disk brakes up front. They have stainless steel braided lines with drilled and slotted front rotors. Wheels- New modern Ridler staggered wheel set (18" front 20" deep lips in back) with low profile performance tires. $2,000 worth in wheels and tires alone!! Ive had the car heat up when stuck in traffic but that is one of the downfalls of classic cars. As soon as I started moving the car cooled down again. I hardly use the car so maybe It just needs a coolant flush/ bleed or I expect an electric radiator fan will cure this. The wipers on the car have never been used. They are there but I have never turned them on because the car has never been out in the rain while Ive owned it. I advise bidders to phone me and ask any questions they may have about the car. As you can see there are many modern replacement parts in the front steering and brake assemblies as well as the fuel tank being relatively new and well secured. The exhaust has not rusted and is holding stong as well as all the components down there. Chasis has no rust damage. Please keep in mind that some of the pieces of metal have been down there since 58 and surface rust is a common feature.
