Nice classic car restoration project. The previous owner installed a 460 and C-6 transmission (which fits in nicely and is easy to change the plugs in). He added an edlebrock aluminum intake, mild performance cam, and "HEI Type" electronic ignition. Unfortunately he never finished the exhaust, so the car sat until I bought it about 6 weeks or so ago. The motor starts up and sounds good, but rather than pulling it out for my Galaxy 500 Project, my wife decided to let me order a new Coyote motor (good thing I recorded "Fast & Loud") !! This 71 Mustang has an excellent rust free body and beautiful Mach 1 hood with nice inserts. The only bad spots were around the bottom of the back window, which allowed rain water to corrode the trunk pan. This was since temp repaired with fiberglass, and should eventually be replaced with a welded in trunk pan. The rear floor pans were also repaired with fiberglass, but I've order replacements, which go with the car. Shorty headers and pictured mufflers also come with. So this car is now for sale. The title is clear, and there are no DMV fees due. (Check out the cool "original license plates). All the glass is good, and the seats are from a newer mustang. The windows go up and down smoothly, and I would recommend new carpet, a pop-on dash pad cover, and new head-liner. Also a carburetor, ignition switch, and tranny pan gasket. What a great father and son restoration project! Motor fits and looks like a 429. I'm happy to help coordinate nationwide or overseas transport at buyer's expense.
