ALL ORIGINAL...YOU WILL EVEN GET THE ORIGINAL SALES SLIP AND OWNER'S MANUAL!!! This truck is so sweet I won't be offended if you don't buy it, but if you are interested, here's the story.... I bought it from the second owner about 5-10 years ago (can't remember) and I gave it to my Dad to drive until a year ago. The second owner lived next-door to the first one in Phoenix, and bought the truck after the couple passed away. It sat 10 years in his drive-way until he decided to sell it, and then I got it and my Dad drove it. I really think that the 66789 miles is all it has on it (that's what I was told anyway) although the title says otherwise, but I think that is a mistake. It certainly drives like it has that mileage. The oil has been changed regularly, and it doesn't smoke or leak oil or anything else for that matter. The doors click shut nicely and it cruises down the road beautiful. I hate to sell it but I just got a pristine original 52 GMC truck and my wife and friend Tim are relentlessly badgering me to sell the 65. I don't see what the problem is, with only 5-6 cars (yard-art) in the yard at most, but oh well... Anyway, it's got the original 292 6 cylinder with a cool cable operated overdrive column 3 speed tranny. I will try to describe the condition as well as I can, and I have the reciepts for the work done recently (they tell me it has a transferable nation-wide warranty). I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. By the way I need to hang on to the toolbox in the back of the truck. I'm going to list it at what the reserve would be (6500), and cut the baloney with trying to bid up to that point, but beyond that, no reserve. Quite frankly, I think it's worth a lot more than that, but we will have to see how the auction goes. She really only needs minor cosmetics... BODY: GOOD CONDITION, NO DENTS THAT I CAN REMEMBER, THOUGH ITS NOT SHOW-ROOM PERFECT EITHER, MAY HAVE HAD SLIGHT BODY WORK IN THE PAST WHEN IT WAS PAINTED 4-5 YEARS AGO. DOORS SHUT GREAT, NO PROBS. NEEDS NEW DOOR AND WINDOW RUBBER. NO RUST THAT I AM AWARE OF INTERIOR: SEAT HAS BEEN RE-UPHOLSTERED, AND IS IN GREAT COND. THE SPEAKERS IN THE DOORS NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE WINDSHIELD WIPER KNOB NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AS WELL; IT'S JUST STUFFED IN THE HOLE TO LOOK GOOD, AND THE WIPERS ARE WORKING OFF A TOGGLE SWITCH. ON THE FLOOR PANS, THERE IS SLIGHT RUST BUT THEY ARE REAL SOLID BED: MOSTLY GOOD ORIGINAL WOOD, A FEW PLACES IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED THOUGH GLASS: ALL GOOD, NO CRACKS, WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN GREAT, NEW WINDOW ROLLERS IN DRIVERS DOOR ENGINE: 292 RUNS AWESOMELY GREAT, CARB RECENTLY REBUILT, POINTS TUNED TRANSMISSION: 3 SPEED ON COLUMN WITH CABLE OPERATED OVER-DRIVE, BRAND NEW CLUTCH AND OD CABLE INSTALLED STEERING: NO PROBLEMS, NICE AND TIGHT BRAKES; WORK GREAT GAUGES: ALL SEEM TO BE WORKING FINE, INCLUDING SPEEDO (WHICH IS ACCURATE) AND FUEL (ALSO ACCURATE) RADIO: NOT HOOKED UP; THERE APPARENTLY USED TO BE A STEREO OF SOME KIND IN IT, BUT THE RADIO IS BACK FUEL TANKS: 3, ONE BEHIND THE SEAT (ORIG) AND TWO ON EACH SIDE, ALL WORKING, NO PROBLEMS AC: ONLY THE VENTS ARE THERE HEATER: WORKS LIGHTS, BLINKERS, AND ELECTRICAL: ALL WORK GREAT AS FAR AS I KNOW, HAS A NEW ALTERNATOR TIRES: GOOD CONDITION, LOTS OF TREAD
