Vehicle Detail
This is the last chance, if reserve isn't met Im keeping her. I am listing my 79 Trans Am. Over the years Ive have a few of these. The F body cars are my favorite. They are super fun cars. Me and my wife have finally decided to move from the city and we bought a house out in the suburbs. I am not going to have the room to keep all the toys so I had to get rid of something. And well this was regrettably the one chosen to go. I found this car last year and just had to have it. It was for the most part complete and rust free and solid. It was 30 something years old and needed gone over but it being rust free and complete, I figured Id get her back to the days of her glory. Over the winter I went over the Tran Am and got all of the lights and gauges working, I put in new carpet and front seat covers. Redyed some interior parts. The dash, console, door panels, and rear seats are in original condition. The car has the original engine and transmission. They appear to have never been removed from car. The engine runs great and doesn't smoke, knock or tick in anyway. It has very low miles and has plenty of power for a stock and original 403. The trans pulls hard and shifts very well. It does leak a little from the front pump seal. Not a lot but will leave a little spot in the garage when it sits. Over the winter the I removed all the trim and mirrors and lights and sent it out for new paint. It was done in the original code 11 Cameo white. Base/Clear paint job came out very well if you ask me. It is a 7.5 to 8.5 out of 10. Its not a 10,000 paint job but it is very very nice. When the car was reassembled all original nuts and bolt were used. also all new weather stripping, seals and rubber bump stops were installed. As well as new graphics from Pheonix Graffix. The car is very nice and gets thumbs up every time I take it out for a cruise. It is a complete turn key cruiser. Just needs a new home. It needs very little. It also has the Cars and concept t tops. They are complete and in good shape. Ive never had it in the rain but wash it just about every time I take it out and water never gets in the car. I could go on and on about the car, but in a nut shell. Its a nice, solid, good running, rust free, 1979 Trans Am. It is 34 years old so it requires some love but that's half the fun of having one. I reserve the right to end the auction before the reserve is met, as the car is listed locally for sale as well. The reserve is low for Trans Am this nice. Good luck and happy bidding. If you have any questions please ask and I will get back to you asap. Buyer is responsible for arranging shipping. I will help anyway I can but it is up to the buyer to set it up. I will not release the car until my bank says payment has cleared. A paypal deposit of 500 dollars is due 48 hours after end of auction and balance due within 1 week. The A/C doesn't work. The clutch on the compressor seems to be bad. The winning bidder will get another compressor in good working condition along with the car... I do have bags for the Tops as well.
