This 1976 Toyota Landcruiser has 61,359 original miles. We are selling this for a friend who can no longer drive his pride and joy due to a leg injury. It has a current tag and inspection sticker. There were only 9,283 sold in the U.S. in 1976. It has fairly new tires, new battery and cables, new muffler, recent green paint job, new clutch reservoir. It has a 4 speed transmission- stick on the floor. It has the original radio, however it doesn't work, so we included a new am/fm radio with antenna that is still new in the box. It is a good solid machine. The drivetrain is fine. The straight six engine performs wonderfully. It has a heavy duty trailer hitch, a 10,000 lb. Warn winch, original roll cage, original floor mats and rear jump seats. It comes with a towbar that is not shown in the photos. The glovebox outlet works and a plugin handheld light that looks original is also included. An original manual is included. The horn, blinkers, tail lights and headlights work. This vehicle is USED, is not perfect and is being sold as such. However it has alot of potential with a little work. This was a barn find. The original owner had passed away when it was found in the barn. A bag of fertilizer was left in the back. So when this Landcruiser left the barn it was carried to a body shop. At the body shop they removed the rear floor pan and replaced it. The new section was coated with Rhino Liner and the fresh exterior paint was applied. A gun rack that is removable is attached to the roll cage. It has certainly been a head turner while driving it around town. It is fun to drive too. Areas that need attention include the following: It has an air compressor but the air conditioner does not work. There is a small peck on the front windshield. There is a small oil leak coming from the oil pan seal at the rear of the pan. The brakes work and stop fairly well, however they need a little attention to work better- to stop on a dime. The carburetor needs cleaning and adjusting to run more smoothly. There is rust at the bottom of both doors. The original mirrors were replaced by the original owner. The antennas mounted on the front fenders are broken off. The headliner is loose at the rear. There is a crack in the dash pad. There is one air conditioner vent louver missing. VIN # FJ40-217058.
