Vehicle Detail
alright...we,ve decided to sell our little hotrod parts chaser...1987 extended cab s10 style truck..[s14]...the build on this truck was extensive, originally intended to build and keep to showcase the v8 swap we offer here in the shop....we used a high end swap kit that included motor mounts, high performance gear reduced starter, quality heavy flanged shorty style headers, and a late corvette style aluminum radiator...the engine is a early block 4bolt main bored .040...alignbored and decked just enough to square everything, new cam bearings and freeze plugs..a complete eagle 4340 rotating assy....crank and rods..6 inch full floated rods and kieth black flat top 2 valve relief forged pistons, entire assy. computer balanced....clevite main and rod bearings and total seal rings...for the upper end we used a new set of 200cc raised runner pro heads [cast iron]..all valvetrain, springs locks retainers pushrods cam and lifters timing chain and gears are comp cams products.....it has a hurricane single plane intake and a 650 holley street performance carb.....comp offers three versions of the "thumper" series of street cams and we went with the middle one..sounds great...mean aggressive idle but still streetable .The trans is a performance built 700 r4 with a b&m street converter and a electronic lock up..[dash operated] 4 speed automatic...firm shifts and the lockup provides a measure of milage on the highway.....we installed the later, heavier rear axle assy., from a newer s10, as well as the later springs.....new performance two piece driveshaft with spicer joints....the exhaust system was installed new with a pair of flowmaster street mufflers and aluminized pipe...fairly quiet but really comes to life with rpm!!...I love the way this thing sounds....gets Crazy attention at the gas pump!!LOL!!......all the belt drive stuff was installed new...belts pulleys, alternator, power steering pump and lines...uses a stock gm type pulley setup that allows the use of the long water pump and stock clutch fan..NO COOLING ISSUES!!...can idle all day in traffic..temps stable, no electric fans to worry 'bout.....this thing runs great, reliable...wife drives this on a regular basis...no leaks or squeaks!!..mechanically its in great shape..front end brakes etc...we've put about 28k on it since rebuild and recently put a really red ppg base clear paint job on it....removed bed dismantled doors and interior to paint.....color sanded...no show winner but REALLY slick!!....all trim and bumpers are blacked out using ppg urethanes......the interior has some wear issues..not really bad but showing sines of use and abuse....the truck is wired for a slide in style radio...wifes gonna keep that but I will include the slide in..these are pretty generic for most radios...not seen in pics but is in good condition..black...all factory gauges, lights, turn signals etc are in working order...we added a set of mechanical gauges and a sun tack as well...the are illuminated also.......................really great truck...fly out and drive it home!!...check our feedback..no junk...oh yeah...we also did a really nice bedline..all epoxy..good stuff.......feel free to call me in the shop...evenings or during the day fine...reserve is set for less that what we spent on the engine...really great deal for someone wanting a nice little hotrod truck.......check out the wifes new ride at eds hot rod shop on facebook.......good luck....ed strackbein 501-504-4423On Jul-27-13 at 16:40:48 PDT, seller added the following information: sorry folks.....engine is .040 over 350 cid......hope that clears that up!!..my bad..LOL!!!!!On Jul-30-13 at 20:33:34 PDT, seller added the following information: OK...been asked a couple times.....yes the hood is a all steel aftermarket piece....not sure of the brand...I did get it from lmc, really nice hood...fits great.
