1970 Ranchero GT. This car has had a faithful muscle car era correct restoration. It is not a show car and it is not fast but it is a very nice drive around car that you could take anywhere. I believe that the 98K on the milage is original. The car retains it's numbers matching motor and transmission. It still has it's Hidaway headlight grille that is was born with. It spent it's life in California and was well taken care of. All body panels except for the passenger fender are original to the car. The car is extremely solid, the rear quarter panel to rocker seams on both sides are pretty much perfect without any sign of rust. The motor was rebuilt and has less than a 1000 miles on it. The car drives steers and stops as it should. Does not overheat even in traffic. You don't see them this nice very often unless they are overly restored trailer queens. DRIVE TRAIN- Original 351 Cleveland 4V rebuilt OEM stock. Headers, duel exsaust, Holley 600 with electric choke added. Automatic trans with 9" non posi rear. The entire heater box has been rebuilt, new heater core, evaporator and all A/C components including the high and low presure lines, condencer, pump have been replaced. Converted to R134 the air blows ice cold. Look closley at the engine compartment, starter relay, voltage regulator, A/C acuator, wiper motor, are all either restored or have been replaced. New battery and alternator along with all proper pulleys and idlers. BODY- The car started out life green on green. It was repainted base clear PPG Grabber Blue. Shaker hood, OEM 1970 sport mirrors, front spoiler and vinyl top added. The hideaway head lights work as they should and the grille is in almost perfect shape. The underside is rust free and is solid.(light surface rust only) Door whiskers, body to bumper rubber and door seals have all been replaced. All emblems are new replaced peices. The bed has light bumps here and there but nothing major for being over 40 years old. The bed wheel wells are almost perfect. Although the car presents very very nice it is not show paint but well above average, smooth and shinny. You could take it a local cruise or show and feel good about it. Drive it everyday if you wish, very reliable. CHROME & BRIGHT WORK- Rechromed front and rear bumpers. All trim has been restored and polished. Side body mouldings (fenders & doors) are NOS new from the wrapper. The rear quarter side trim has been straightened and polished. All bed suround trim has been restored and polished and is in excellent shape. Windshield trim and drip mouldings have been straightened and polished. The drip rail mouldings are not the vinyl top versions as this car did not have a V-top originally. So the chrome does not overlap onto the vinyl. If I didn't tell you ... you woulda never noticed. INTERIOR-Newer carpet, stock dash. New Dearborn Classic door panels along with new Dearborn Classic 1970 stock correct pattern seat covers. Spare tire well back viny replaced. New white headliner. Nice dash pad. All gauges work. Clock and AM radio do not work. WHEELS & MISC- Brand new American made Magnum 500 rims.(not the Chinese junk) 15X7 front. 15X8 rear. New 1970 reproduction OEM centercaps. Coker Pro Trac front and rear tires. 275/60 rears...235/60 fronts. The car sits very nice and looks muscle car tough, not a low rider. The suspension is good without any clunks this or that. All the vacuum tanks have been restored and pressure tested. The grille head light doors work perfectly as they should.
