Up for auction is this nice shape 1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe sedan. It starts right up, runs, drives, stops & steers well. It appears to have the original paint along with original mhair interior. The glass is good except one small crack in passenger side rear that is barely noticeable. The body is very solid with no rust through anywhere. It has a very cool dash that is unmolested. The gauges and lights work, however, the horn will not blow(maybe a fuse) It has a heater on both the driver & passenger side and the blower works. The radio does not play. The tires are nice shape as are rims and hubcaps.These cars ride very snooth and this one is no exception! It goes straight down the road, does not pull or wander. A real joy to drive. The chrome for the most part is nice and shiney, with only a few dings here and there, but nothing too bad. The rubber gaskets and seals around the doors and windows is in very good shape - not all rotted and cracked. The doors close tightly and nicely as do all of the windows. The car looks kind of mean with the visor and double spotlights. The spotlights are not hooked up, nor are the foglights on the front. The engine carries 40 lbs of oil pressure and 30-35 when warmed up. The reserve is below $4K so it is very affordable and could be a nice daily driver.
