Vehicle Detail
You are purchasing one of the best, 32 Ford "Vicky's" you will ever find. My reserve of $30K was not met so, because of unforeseen medical expenses, I have reluctantly decided to lower the price to 25K. If you have ever thought of building a hot rod, then you know it is easy to put that much just in the supercharged engine - not including your time. At 25K this is a "Steal". You will not find a better car at this price!! This car is not a "garage queen" but is meant to be driven. It looks great and drives even better. If you like the thrill of acceleration, then this is definitely the car to consider. Since I do drive it as often as possible, there are the inevitable small road dings and chips. For what it is worth, my brother and I took a 1200 mile road trip last year and the car got about 18 miles per gallon. The 350 Chevy motor was professionally build before I received the car. There is a polished BDS (Blower Drive Service) 671 blower, with two 650 cfm Edelbrock carburetors and it is not over driven, but slightly under driven. Overdriving the blower is hard on the engine and also makes it run hotter. I think the engine is about 500 hp and has roller rocker arms below the polished aluminum valve covers. Even on the hottest days, the oil pressure is high. At idle, hot, about 35 - 40 psi. At highway speed about 60 psi. There has never a problem of any kind with the motor! I did replace the electric fan (Spal) in the front of the radiator with one that pushes a lot more air. There is also a special Spal electronic control for the fan. The air conditioning compressor is new and polished. Like I said before, on a road trip last year the car got about 18 miles per gallon. You do need to use premium gasoline. In addition to the new transmission, there is a new remote oilcooler in the rear of the car and is thermostatically controlled. I think the only spare part that I have for the car is an extra belt for the alternator. Although I cannot guarantee the car, in all honesty, I would not be afraid to get in the car and drive it about anywhere, as long as there is a highway. The car does have a heater but realistically, it only works marginally. On the other hand, the air conditioner with freeze you. There are no side covers for the engine compartment. In reality, the engine components and firewall have all been polished and I personally feel, it would be a shame to cover it up. As for driving in the rain, it is best to avoid this or be extremely careful. There is a single windshield wiper for the drivers side only. The tires are about 1/2 tread on the rear, a little more on the front. The car is fiberglass and there is a stainless steel exhaust and has about 22,800 miles. The front end has a dropped front axel with Corvette suspension and four wheel disc brakes. The rearend is also a Corvette IRS. There is a dual master cylinder for the brakes. Although there is a rear bench seat, in reality, the car is design for two people. If someone sits in the rear then the front seats need to slide forward. You might be able to find a similar car for less money, but you will never find one better or one which has been maintained to this level. Remember, this car is a driver! This is not a "show car" but rather one that gets tons of attention and looks great no matter where you drive. I never get tired of having people take pictures or spending a lot of time talking to you about the car. For what it is worth, the flames which are painted on the car cost me almost $3,000.00. * New transverse mounted front spring. * New rebuilt 700 R4 (four speed automatic) transmission. * New transverse mounted rear multi-leaf spring on the Corvette independent rear suspension. * New DVD player with remote control. * The entire car was totally rewired with new control panel under dash. * Professional interior. * New battery under rear seat * New polished alternator * New Sun Pro tach - mounted on dash. * New stereo base boost under passenger seat. * Remote shut off for battery. * Two remote 12V radiators under car. In the event it is very hot there is a switch on the dash that can turn these fans on. * New remote control for right and left door and trunk lid. There are no door handles on the car. There is a secret release for the drivers door and trunk, just in case the remote did not work. * New gas tank * New remote condenser for the air conditioner located in rear of car where original gas tank was placed. * Power windows * New Hurst "T" handle shifter on floor. * New drive shaft with "U" joints. * Chrome pan on engine. * New rear speakers. Finally, this car is very fast but also sits up a little high. The reason that I am telling you this is that if you are coming out of a corner the car should be in a straight line before acceleration hard. If not, it will do something that is called a "fish hook". This car is designed for going in a straight line or cruise down the highway, not on a road course. I have told several interested individuals about this car and have the right to remove the add if item is sold to one of them. If you have an interest, you can call me at 1-630-858-3160 (between 7:00am and 7:00pm) to discuss this further and as the saying goes, "Make me an offer I cannot refuse". Please, serious inquiries only!
