Vehicle Detail
Updated 7/19/2013 @ 7:00 PM 1986 Suzuki Samurai 4x4. Excellent condition, This is a rare hardtop model with many upgrades. Engine was swapped to the larger 1.6L (8V) fuel injected with an automatic transmission, air conditioning, larger 15 gallon fuel tank, “old man EMU" suspension, warn winch, tow-bar, pop-up sunroof, power steering, AM/FM/CD player, roof rack. Tires are like new, car is painted Humvee (GM) yellow. I have owned this vehicle for 12 years and drove it weekly and occasionally towed it. Everything works including the A/C which blows cold. Engine and transmission swap professionally done by work done by “PETROWORKS OFF-ROAD” in Fallbrook, CA. and they can attest to the condition of the vehicle. If you are looking for a lightweight (1900 lb) tow vehicle or an easy to drive commuter, this is a great choice. Never a kids car, Invested well over $12,000, The odometer says 2,905 miles (total of 102,950), but the engine has only an estimated 8,000 miles. This vehicle was mostly towed over the past few years. With regard to body condition the right rear fender edge and in 3 spots on the left rear fender edge there are some bubbles under the pain. Otherwise the car is rust free in all regards. These spots on the rear fenders area are where the factory plastic fender flares mounted. The fender flares simply trap moisture and as a result, is a common place on all Suzuki's for corrosion to occur. That was the reason I removed the factory flares when I first bought the car.
