For Sale via eBay Motors 7 day auction: 1996 Ford Windstar GL - 7 passenger MiniVan, 3.8 Liter 6 cylinder SPI engine, 4 speed automatic O/D (Front Wheel Drive), in Excellent condition (NOT Mint), 80000 plus original miles, garage kept and professionally maintained (I have the service records and original window sticker to show you). Options include power windows, factory tinted side windows, power door locks, luggage rack, A/C including rear cabin heat and A/C, etc. (see picture of original window sticker below for more details). This is the first time this vehicle has been offered for sale on eBay or anywhere else since I have owned it (I am the second owner). I bought this vehicle from the original owner, an elderly retired woman who used it mostly to pick up her family members from the nearest large airport. The car has essentially no body or frame rust and no body damage (see additional note below) because on days it snowed and the roads were salted and slippery, she didn't take it out of the garage. I have only used it for occasional light hauling (boxes of papers and clean household items). This is a great running, great handling, nice looking all around vehicle; I am only selling it only because my wife just got a brand new Honda automobile and I will no longer have the indoor storage space for the minivan after July 17th. The minivan is located and garaged at my home in Hawley (Zip 18428) in Northeastern Pennsylvania (near Interstate Route 84 in PA). This minivan runs great, rides quietly and shifts smoothly with no oil leaks and no unusual oil consumption. In the past, it has easily passed the rigorous mandatory PA annual State Inspection. The last time I took it in for inspection, the total bill was under $25, and the current PA Inspection is good until the end of September 2013. The tires have plenty of tread remaining and it has a full sized spare included but no mini-spare (I disposed of it). Presently, the two rear removable passenger seats are out for me to take advantage of the generous interior cargo capacity, but I have these two rear seats stored indoors in my garage and they are in fine shape (no noticeable rips, tears or stains) and are included with and will be installed in the vehicle. In order to prepare the vehicle for its new owner, the following service items have recently been completed: new front brake pads and rotors, new rear wheel drum brake cylinders, and routine service items such as engine oil and filter change, air filter change, and automatic transmission fluid and filter change. Also included with the sale are the two original ignition keys and two remote key fobs for the power door locks. This minivan gets a solid 24 to 25 mpg (miles per gallon) on the highway, as long as it is not pushed too hard in terms of speed or load. The minimum bid price is $2001., which is calculated as $400 less than ten percent (10%) of the original window sticker list price of $24,010. when new (see photo of sticker below), not including sales tax at that time. Since this is a truly great older vehicle with almost half of its usable life left in it (I recently drove another Ford of the same year to 173,000 plus miles from brand new to retirement with no major trouble), I feel that 400 hundred dollars less than 10 percent of the original window sticker MSRP of the minivan is a fair starting bid price. The original owner told me that the minivan was once involved in a minor "fender-bender" accident while it was parked in a shopping mall parking lot back a few years ago, which damaged the right rear quarter trim panel. The body damage was professionally repaired at that time, and I have the body shop receipt which shows about $2000. of repairs paid for by her insurance company, which I will show you if desired. These few small items in no way affect the Safety, drivability, or ability of this vehicle to pass the Annual State Inspection that was previously described.
