1941ChevroletSpecial Deluxe '41 Chevy Special Deluxe, 2 door business coupe. All steel car with factory Fulton sun viser. It has had a clean V8 and automatic transmission conversion making it a true driver. New bright red interior matches the white and red exterior. Beautiful car that runs and drives out good. The car has old lacquer paint with some small scratches and nicks, but still looks really good overall. The car comes from Arizona and was built in the early 90's. The motor is a 350 V8, the transmission is a Th-350 Automatic and it has a 12 bolt rear end with dual leaf springs. The tires are Firestone wide white wall bias plys with about 60-70%+ tread remaining. The car starts right up and runs cool. It is very trustworthy and dependable. The motor is clean and is dressed with so cal finned aluminum valve covers and matching air cleaner. It has an HEI distributor (so you don't have to worry with points), new dual exhaust with Smitty mufflers, electric fan, re-cored radiator, new fuel pump etc. It has a 12 volt electrical system with new fuse panel, alternator, and red top Optima battery. The motor is a 1989 Chevrolet crate engine with less than 10k miles. Trans and rear have approx. the same mileage as they were all installed at the same time. The engine casting numbers read 10066036 with 89 stamped on the other side. Front suspension is stock '41 Chevrolet. Lights and turn signals work but wipers, horn and speedometer do not. The wiper system looks to be intact but the arms have been removed with chrome bullets installed over them. I have never diagnosed to see what was needed to get the wipers going. I expect the speedo needs a new cable and the horn button is missing. It has a working fuel and temperature gauge. Glass looks to be all original with no cracks. The car runs out and drives good. New radial tires would make it drive even better but it has that classic traditional style look with the old style wide white bias plys. It is a fun classic that also fits into the traditional hot rod category. It just has the right look. Although not a freshly restored show car, it is one beautiful classic that always does well at shows and cruise ins.
