we are selling this car for a friend client who is a BMW lover/collector/mechanic. He has owned this car since 1986. (he also has a ton of BMW knowledge and parts if you need anything) The miles listed are what shows on the odo and pretty close to what it showed when he bought it. it is a five digit odo and is likely over once. The 2002 is in UT and available for your inspection. If you are out of state and need it taken into BMW dealer or independent shop for inspection we are happy to assist anyway we can. If you have any questions or need more info please call me my name is Gaylen 801-231-1221On Jul-14-13 at 18:58:28 PDT, seller added the following information: Dear isill, thank you for your interest, yes the sunroof operates properly. it is not a smokers car. to my knowledge it has had no body work although I believe it was likely painted prior to the present owner acquiring the car in 1986. no it does not smoke initially or anytime, it is 4 speed manual. As far as documented work, the current owner does his own work and is extremely good at it. The car runs great but if the lack of him paying somebody else and getting paperwork is a deal breaker I understand. I do know that it has tii exhaust manifold and ANSA exhaust system and Weber 32/36 carb. It sounds real sweet! We are not a slick and flashy ebay seller and if that causes you to not consider this car I think you are missing a rare find. If you get even a little serious I highly recommend you get an ebay inspection outfit or a BMW dealer or an ASE shop of your choice to assess the 2002. Yes we have a clean title in hand. As a bonded dealer it is important that we conduct all business in an upright manner looking out for and protecting both the buyer and seller. As far as shipping costs that is all yours, (any offers of free shipping aren't free) we will however do any legwork on this end to make it as convenient and low cost as possible. If you want to use DAS or similar it is much less to go terminal to terminal than door to door. We would be happy to get it to the terminal. If you choose to fly in and drive it home we will pick you up buy you lunch and fill the tank. And yes I would drive it anywhere.
