UP FOR AUCTION IS MY 1987 HONDA VFR700. IT HAS BEEN IN MY GARAGE FOR ABOUT 2 YRS NOW. A FRIEND TRIED STARTING IT LAST SUMMER WITHOUT REBUILDING THE CARBS AND BURNT OUT THE STARTER. THIS BIKE RUNS GREAT. IT WILL NEED THE CARBS DONE, BATTERY AND STARTER. CLEAN TITLE. BIKE WAS LAST REGISTERED TO ME, BUT I HAVE LOST THE TITLE. IF NOT FOUND, UPON COMPLETION OF AUCTION AND DEPOSIT, I WILL ORDER A NEW TITLE SENT TO ME AT MY COST. THEY SAID IT WILL TAKE ABOUT 5 TO 7 DAYS TO OBTAIN IT. L/S MIRROR WAS CHANGED AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTO'S. MOUNT IS BROKEN OFF. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PHOTOS AS THEY TELL EVERYTHING ON THIS BIKE. BRAKES ARE FINE, AND I WENT THROUGH THE GEARS SMOOTHLY LAST TIME I RODE IT. ALL LIGHTS, SIGNALS, HORN ETC ARE IN WORKING ORDER. HYDRAULIC CLUTCH IS ALSO IN GREAT WORKING ORDER. NO RIPS IN SEAT. FAIRING IS IN ROUGH SHAPE, BUT IS COMPLETE. ONE KEY FOR IGNITION AND GAS CAP. REAR SIGNALS WERE CHANGED BEFORE I BOUGHT IT AND ARE ALSO WORKING FINE. . REVISED: TITLE ORDERED ON 7/7/13!! WORDS FROM WIKI In 1987, Honda decided not to import the 750, leaving the American masses only the VFR700. Refinements were subtle. The shift lever was shorten to lessen the effects of its long throw. Compression and rebound damping were increased, and a new rear shock provided separate valving for lighter compression and firmer rebound, as well as a stiffer spring. This made the bike sweeter over bumps, and increased cornering clearance, although most street riders will never be able to touch the exhaust pipes down. The centerstand disappeared, unfortunately, and the blocky instrument pod replaced the dials and optional analog pointers of 1986.
