Vehicle Detail
1971 Chevrolet Caprice less than 54000 miles. I am actually the 2nd owner of this car. It was traded to a local Chevrolet Dealer in Southern Illinois in 1988. The dealer kept it stored in a nice dry heated storage facility. They sold the storage facility to Walgreens so they had to sell all of the stored vehicles. I bought this car in 2008. This is a drive anywhere car, everything works (except the clock). I have done the following to the car: New tires, shocks, carburetor, battery, door seals, water pump, & radiator. The trunk lid had some blisters so I had a local body shop spray just the trunk lid, the match is fair which can be seen in the photos. This car was undercoated when new and the coating plugged the A/C drain so the passenger side carpet is discolored, which can also be seen in the photos. The driver side carpet shows some wear also. There is a complete set of original floor mats included. The only issues this car has is the wind shield has a small water leak, I had a glass shop try to seal the window from the inside, it helped but it still leaks a little. The front bumper had a dent when I got the car and I took the bumper off and straighten it in a press, it is not bad and can be seen in the photos. There is no rust. The only reason I am selling it is because I am retiring this year and will be moving to a smaller home, so I need to consolidate some of my toys, and this one takes up quite a bit of space. I have never sold a car on Ebay. I have only sold some guitars. I am using other listings as a guide for the disclaimer: -$500 non refundable deposit due within 2 days of successful winning bid. -Remainder due within 2 weeks of auction end. -There is no warranty implied or otherwise. -Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. -The reserve is confidential.
