This is a loaded, one owner cream puff that is owned by the former Nissan/Datsun dealership and was his wife's car since new. Both are elderly at this point and have decided it is time to sell their pride and joy that they both cherished. It has all the paperwork including the warranty book and original window sticker, and even a few that would not be given to the buyer when new as they were dealership paperwork. This Z Car has been extremely well cared for and is offered for the first time ever through The Sell It Now Store. The owner of this car is Harry Zimdars, who owned the Zimdars Motors dealership in West Allis (local Datsun dealership in 1980). When he received this rare loaded automatic Z car from Datsun, he gave it to his wife and she has cherished the car since new. It was licensed as a demo at the dealership which was a common practice back then for executives and then transferred into their names at 3000 miles. It has had all maintenance done at dealerships and the owner is a Porsche mechanic, so it has been probably over maintained. The tires are Michelin and aside from a replacement (used) gas tank due to age, we believe the car to be completely original. That being said, you will see some minor paintwork that was done due to cosmetic damage upon the new car inspection due to delivery by rail and truck which was very common in the early years of Japanese imports. Aside from that and the general light wear from age as shown in the photos, it is about as pristine as you will find. The car runs excellent, and aside from a strut or some other small click in the front end at times, it drives like a nearly new car, or at least a late model car. We are surprised with how well maintained and how clean this car is. As stated, this car been extremely well kept. It has been garage stored and extremely well maintained. It shows extremely well and the photos are very representative of the overall condition. The underbody is super clean and the super low mileage is correct. . Mechanically, this vehicle is surprisingly clean and tight, and runs well when going down the road. The air still works, and most or all options we tried do as well. To recap, this auction includes what is shown, and the photos speak for themselves. However, we cannot warranty any parts and as with any vintage vehicle, they are always a project in some way. Please note this before bidding if you are looking for a vehicle that will operate like a brand new vehicle. Collector cars are many times tempermental and reliability can be a factor on some. We also did not test each accessory or feature, and only drove the vehicle for a short distance. Any of these should be trailered to their destination until the vehicle is checked over for safety (tires, etc). The title is free and clear, and we are also requiring a bill of sale be signed by the new owner stating this car is being purchased as-is. The colors are great and it is very old school.
