Beautiful 1997 Jaguar XK8 with only 40,000 miles. This car has been babied and is in great shape. The exterior is a beautiful blue called Antigua and the like new interior color is called oatmeal. The interior is possibly the best you’ll ever see. The wood has a mirror like shine with no scratches or cracks. The seats have no rips, tears or wear and they are very supple and soft- I treat them with Leatherique Rejuvenator Oil every 3 months to keep the leather in such great shape. The convertible top operates beautifully. There are no leaks or wind noise and there are no funky smells in the interior, just the aroma of the Connolly leather. Everything works as it should including the AC. I have spared no expense in maintaining this vehicle. Recent work includes a new drive belt, new Jaguar OEM brakes all the way around, fluids changed, new upgraded self dimming rear view mirror (the original ones would become hazy and not self dim), and a new battery. No after market parts have been used, only genuine Jaguar parts. These vehicles were prone to having two maintenance issues- the timing chain tensioners and the hydraulic hose for the convertible top. As preventative measures I have had the tensioners and the hydraulic hose replaced with upgraded/improved versions. The convertible top hydraulic system was flushed and filled with the correct fluid after the new hose was installed. The top operates smoothly and quickly. This vehicle always starts right up, the transmission shifts smoothly and it is very smooth and quiet on the road. There are no fluid leaks. The alloy wheels are not faded, they have a nice shine to them and the Toyo Versado LX 245/50/17 99V performance tires have a deep tread. The spare is original and has never been used. This vehicle has the optional Harmon Kardon stereo and factory installed 6 disk changer built into the trunk area. It also came with the optional Motorola cell phone which I have removed. This was an unusual option because it had a different console/armrest that I have replaced with a genuine Jaguar armrest covered in real leather. The cell phone and the original console/armrest come with the purchase. The body is in great shape but there are a couple of door dings on the passenger side, not very noticeable and can be removed with paintless dent removal. I just never got around to doing it because I don’t think the door dings are that noticeable- you can’t even see them in the pictures but I wanted to mention them. I have owned many cars and this is honestly the hardest one to part with. I had the intention of keeping this car for a very long time which explains my obsessive care of it. This is not a vehicle that needs work to be perfect, it is simply an amazing and beautiful car. The pictures here do not do this vehicle justice.
