Up for grabs today is a 1938 Plymouth Sedan Delivery. Model T-57 Commercial sedan based off the truck of the same year. This is a three owner Car and was originally located in Oklahoma City, OK. All original steel body and fenders with no fiberglass, it is as it came from the factory. New glass throughout with the exception of then front windshield. Rear door is original to the car and functions properly. The hood and grill are nice and straight and are complete with their respective trim. The hood opens and closes with ease. A set of five original 16 inch wheels and hubcaps. The original T-57 Flathead Six engine is a matching to the model number on the firewall tag. (Engine # T-5716401 and serial number 9186277) Engine is in great condition and retains the majority of it's original paint. We were able to hook up a battery and turn the engine over with the starter. It turns over freely but lacks a gas tank to get it on the road. Gas tank is not present. However the engine had great compression and was well taken care of in it's life. All original suspension and drivetrain down to the 3 speed trans. The clutch still works as well as the day it was put in. The interior is mostly complete: Non original but functional seats are included, originals gauges are present and will work when hooked back up. Perfect dash emblem and the steering wheel still has the horn button. Original cargo wood floor is still in good usable condition. The truck exterior is in red oxide primer to protect from the elements and prep it for paint. Current Oklahoma Title comes with Vehicle. An extra Grill insert will be included as well as an original Commercial Vehicle Parts book, and a Plymouth Data book specific for this model car Both are very Rare. 1938 California plates are included with the auction. Car is sold as is as a project that needs to be completed. This would be a great addition to any collection. I will be traveling to the Midwest leaving California July 14th and can assist in delivery for a price. I can hold onto the Delivery for 10 days until arrangements are made for pickup/delivery.
