Vehicle Detail
1966 Lincoln Continental up for auction. It is a 2 door in great shape with 98,552 original miles. For more information please call me @ 407-221-9991. This car was in storage for the past 12 years, prior to that $2,500.00 was invested to replace the Master cylinder, power front disc brakes/ rear drum brakes, Control arm bushings, idler arm, center link and a few more items and was a daily driver locally around the downtown area. The starter and solenoid were recently replaced. The car ran every week or two to keep it in running order and to keep the fuel fresh. It needs paint and some metal replaced in the normal spots (normal restoration). It needs a new A/C Compressor (seized), Headliner, Rear bumper (rusted needs re-chrome) and the trunk lip repaired. It has new tires with app. 95 percent of the tread remaining. The trim is in excellent condition inside and out, I counted 4 dings on the exterior on 3 trim strips 1. trunk lip,2. driver door, 3. passenger door, the 4 dings are 1/4" or less, the radio works great and you can add a FM converter (hidden to keep the factory radio and add FM it has front and rear speakers), This would be a great restoration with minimal work, it is a solid car. It is also a number matching car unmolested all original just waiting for a new owner. Call 407-221-9991 with any questions. Shipping is no problem anywhere, I can arrange shipping or use your own shipping co. Shipping cost depends on your location and is at the buyers expense, I will assist in loading etc.Pick up obviously is FREE. I usually get shipping rates from freightquote.com , The car is located in Sanford Florida 32771. I can have a Semi pick the car up where it is located. The car came out of the barn 9/30/2013 A.M EDTand that is when I photographed it after I washed it. It is currently in my yard with a car cover on it, the cover is included. I also have the original owners manual and a Shop Manual which are included as well. Your not wasting your time checking out this Lincoln and will not be disappointed with this car.I encourage anyone interested to come and see this car in person. Please ask any questions before bidding and all Ebay rules apply . Thanks for looking. The tires have 45% tread remaining not 95% with even wear and no dry rot, sorry about that typo.On Jul-02-13 at 10:30:49 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been working on the Lincoln, no cranking I chased the circuit and the starter's armature was shorted so I Replaced the starter and cable, Fired right up, it runs and drives great,it has a small vacuum leak, I should have it repaired by auctions end, it needs the steering box adjusted,I will adjust it and replace the flasher (turn signal) and a new battery is needed, I am a ASE Master certified technician (retired), I will continue working on the car. It can be driven to your home as it sits but I want to repair the vacuum leak so gas is not wasted and the HC's and Co2 are too high. After I locate the vacuum leak I will check and adjust the dwell, timing and adjust the carb. so the drive home is hassle free. The Florida tag office is a 1/2 mile away so you can register it here if you wish, it has a clear Florida titleOn Jul-03-13 at 03:55:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Last correction: The Lincoln was pulled out 6/30/2013 not 9/30/2013. On Jul-05-13 at 07:49:56 PDT, seller added the following information: I replaced the battery. I replaced the inlet and return fuel hoses from the steel line to the fuel pump (old and cracked), I found 2 vacuum leaks and repaired them (hoses), checked the timing and dwell, I then adjusted the carb. and determined it needs to be rebuilt (idle air circuit is plugged) you can adjust the right side air fuel mixture screw all the way in with no R.P.M. drop, the left side is responsive. The car is running good despite it needing the carb. rebuilt. The car also comes with a set of Lincoln rubber floor mats floor mats and the jack is in place (mounted in the right side of the trunk) and it also has a good spare tire. Please call 407-221-9991 with any questions. Thanks, BobOn Jul-05-13 at 20:51:33 PDT, seller added the following information: A $500 deposit is due within 48 hours after the end of the auction. On Jul-06-13 at 05:53:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Domestic and International shipping is not a problem.
